If I were a TV gambling expert, I'd give this my "Lock of the Week". I came here around noon a few days after they opened and they already have their stuff together. I think this place has raised the bar for the dispensary experience here in Denver area.
Inexpensive recreational edibles and flowers, largest overall selection in the state, and the best part: they cleverly modified the Apple Store concept for a dispensary. No kidding. It's well lit, open, and the products are out in the showroom for you to smell, look at, admire, or whatever, all at your leisure. It's an old bank so the showroom has nice tile and wall treatments and the overall style is not the usual nasty old pet shop somewhere on Broadway. It's suburban, and maybe that's the best way to put it!
The guy working the front stand was friendly and explained things quickly and simply. A friendly staffer was walking around answering questions and she seemed to know her stuff. The petite gal working the register was not having a good day but that happens.
They don't have a staff person assigned to you when you walk in, instead they let you walk around and look into choices as you would in a mall or supermarket. All dosing and price points are printed right next to the product so there's no need to keep asking how much things cost.
If something strikes your fancy, you're going to scan in the product using a bar code scanner deal they give you in exchange for your license when you walk in. So just like creating your wedding gift registry, you just walk around and beep away. You click on "order" on your beeper thing and walk up the registers (they have about 4 I think) and they'll collect your order from behind their counter and check you out.
Now for the part you're not going to like, but I'm sticking with 5 stars here people. They are CASH ONLY right now. An ATM with a $3 fee...
Read moreI guess these guys are a chain now but that hasn't hurt their quality. While entering can be a little nerve-wracking due to the fact that you have to walk through Denver talk to a security guard and you do have to take out cash at an ATM rather than being able to check out directly. The staff are knowledgeable enough to assist in picking out any cartridges or flour you may need as well as waxes. I'll be honest. I miss their old downstairs studio as it had more personality and felt a lot more like I was going to a weed showroom. This new location is made out of an old 7-Eleven and feels like it. (I know because I had to get Benadryl from that 7-Eleven when I was 18). They also require you like many dispensaries to exit out of a different door than you entered from. A lot of these are safety procedures in order to keep the staff safe but with many dispensaries not using them. I do feel myself drawn to the ones that simplify the process and make things feel more comfortable than safe. I'm not afraid of stoners, or dispensary operators, and maybe it's because of procedures like this, but I haven't really heard of any dispensaries being robbed as of late. Sorry much of this is complaining. I know I do shop here regularly as their rewards and low prices make it well worth any of the inconveniences you do have to deal with along the way. However, a major effort could be taken in order to simplify or make the process more comfortable. Especially for neurodivergent individuals like myself. Any additional step between me shopping and checking out ruins my ability to function socially. It makes the whole thing feel stilted for the...
Read moreI took my cousin here to check out the local dispensaries since he is from out of town. Everywhere I have taken him, the staff have been friendly, welcoming helpful and he has spent a great deal of money on his trip. But today, 12/20/14, we just finished up here and will not be coming back. The staff was very unhelpful, rude and they spent the entire time we were there arguing with each other about the set up of the store and how they didn't like it. I stood at the counter for 5 minuets waiting while they argued before I could get some help. Eventually the guy arguing turned to me and said "whats up.?" After my cousin found what he wanted he went to the ATM to max out more of his credit cards to support our legalization of cannabis and as he was searching though his wallet, the door guy came up to him and asked him "Are you having problems over there" in a suspicious manner. My cousin did not feel welcome with this question. Eventually he picked out what he wanted and paid and needless to say the lady that took his money was by far the rudest person in Denver he has ever meet. Maybe they are having a bad day today, or things are changing, personally I don't know what was going on today but everyone there today was upset and rude. Maybe we got profiled, but again who knows. Even though they have great reviews, I personally will not be recommending this place to my peers or when family and travelers come to visit our great state of colorado for...
