Genereau & Co. — Local services in Duluth

I wish I could give Genereau & Co. more than 5 stars, because they truly deserve it. We visited back in June and were greeted by Andrew, one of the owners of the company. We told him we were just browsing, but looking for a diamond ring that had a unique style. After looking through the wonderful selection of rings in their displays, we did not see anything in the style we were looking for. After much discussion and looking at images of different designs, Andrew said “I think we can make that for you.” Surprised, we said sure, give us an estimate.

A few days later, we received an email from Andrew saying he could do the ring as we described and gave us a very reasonable estimate. Fast forward to about a month ago, we asked Andrew to go ahead and make the ring. We told him there was no rush, but we were serious about purchasing it. In about 3 weeks, Andrew emailed us saying the ring was ready and it was “Exceptional!” We were so excited we traveled to Duluth (a 6 hour trip) the next day to pick up the so far unseen ring.

We arrived the next morning just as the store opened and Andrew had a huge smile on his face. He said he would be right back and went into the back to get the ring. When he showed us the ring, we were absolutely speechless. The ring is unbelievable! The main stone is clear as ice with no inclusions and the craftsmanship is top rate. The attention to detail and the quality of the stones is incredible. I personally have never seen a ring that was so beautiful.

I was anxious to see what this new jewelry store would be like as I had dealt with Kyle at Security Jewelers in the past. I had seen it from the street and was impressed but it doesn’t do the elegance of the inside justice. I am confined to a w/c and it is easily accessed. I have spent three occasions looking for specific items or just leisurely browsing, feeling like a princess amongst the beautiful displays. I have spent considerable time looking and asking questions and have never felt pressured and there has been a genuine interest in all interactions. The store has a separate lounge and the staff readily offer refreshments, making for a relaxed atmosphere. I have been offered fair and competitive prices, leading to magical purchases. My 12 year old son told me he wanted a chain the other day. So we went and see Kyle at Generue & Co. The customer service was top notch off the bat. Kyle showed us some peices and my boy fell in love with one. Kyle also introduced us to the team of employees. He really took his time with my son explains pros and cons about the different peices. About gold plating, silver, and the different ways to care for it. Then my son seen the watches, and Kyle explained the history of the different brands. All in all it was a amazing father son day. 20 minutes after leaving my son looked over at me, and said dad I'm still shaking that was one of the best experiences I have ever had.
