This store gives customers either too much attention, where they follow you into the dressing room and insinuate you might pocket items while there because they "have had problems with shoplifting" and therefore "we are concerned you might do the same" such that "we need to hold your purse at the counter", or they do not acknowledge you at all, and I mean at all to the point of being utterly dismissive. The merchandise is basic and can be found and purchased online. I always try to shop local if I can, but this place has tone-deaf, self-absorbed owners and employees. I had an unfriendly experience at this store yesterday afternoon. I went in looking for a few items—sandals and a dress—and was surprised by the complete lack of customer service. I was the only shopper in the store, but the two sales associates never greeted me or offered any help. They stayed focused on their own conversation the entire time. Two of my daughters and I happened to stop here, and I'm so glad we did. We were greeted by Austin, she made us feel so welcomed.
