12/28/23: My whole family had dinner here tonight. Since my 16yo son was a baby, we have been coming here whenever we crave Korean food and when there is an occassion, no matter how far is the drive. We had a horrible experience at Kum Kang San tonight. Food is still great, the lady owner welcomed us warmly and even recognized us saying it has been a while. Unfortunately, one of their server, who I know has been with the restaurant since we started coming here, keeps chasing us away. We still have food on our plates and she is taking them away, still eating and she is picking up our chopsticks. She even told one of us to go pay and we told her we are not done yet. Mind you, only 4 of us out of 16 people were done grilling at that point. We still have majority of us eating and I personally still want some dessert, just waiting for my son to finish his BBQ. She came by again to clean up and says a lot of people are waiting, that is when we are already getting ready to leave. I wanted to confront her right there but I opted in telling the cashier instead, think he is the son of the lady who owns it, that they have a very rude server. No customer service at all and so terrible. We felt rushed and unwelcomed! Our reservation was at 4pm, we left at around 530. We did not even go over their 2hr limit. This server started chasing us within an hour of us eating and that is not long considering we still have to grill our bbq. So disappointing that the service has come down hill. There are a lot of Korean restaurants in the area. We just like coming here since we find the lady owner friendly even if we don’t see her every time we come. On our next craving, I will give my neighborhood restaurants a chance.
Because of the pandemic, they have changed their service type. It is still all you can eat BBQ and sides but it is no longer self service. Dishes are served directly from the kitchen and the servers come often to ask if any refill is needed. The fact that their menu has drastically been limited, the service we got is still great and the food is always delish, hence, still 5stars after all these years. This is our go to resto for...

Read moreThe food was okay! The service was probably the worst I've ever had. I came in with a group of 6 and the waitress failed to bring me my water which wasn't really a big issue, I know mistakes happen, but she didn't even come and check on us to see if we needed refills on water or replacement grills etc we would have to ask every time we needed something. she would lowkey just look and just dog us down.
And I usually don't write reviews, but this last rude gesture the waitress did just can not be forgotten and it's the reason I'm writing this review...
It was about 9:40 PM(we didn't know they closed at 10PM). All of a suddenly the waitress came by with our check which is understandable, because they were closing soon, but rather than having us pay the check and say "Hey hope your dinner is going well. Just a heads up we are closing soon, but no rush enjoy your food." The waitress comes over and rudely grabs the tongs at our table and just starts flipping all the food on our grill saying its cooked with the nastiest attitude. Then she grabbed the meat from the grill and forcibly put it on our plates. We just felt so rushed and disgust with her attitude we lost our appetite. None of use took another bite after that. We left as soon as our bill was paid for.
They are not children friendly and they will charge 10$ per person for extra food left over that you didn't eat. Word of advice DO NOT eat here!!! Take your money elsewhere you'll...
