We cannot express enough how incredibly grateful we are for the outstanding, FREE jewelry valuing service provided by Brandon Jenkins Moak at Federal Way Custom Jewelers. We have already referred this amazing business to others - as it is truly a GREAT PLACE to learn about and purchase jewelry.
From the moment we walked in, we were met with a warm welcome and an unmatched level of professionalism and graciousness. Then, for nearly two hours, Brandon meticulously went through all of our family members’ jewelry. His patience and precision were evident as he carefully examined each piece, estimating its age and educating us on the history and value of the collection. We had no idea what we had or if it was worth anything until Brandon took the time to educate us. We had items made of gold, silver, various gems, diamonds, rubies, and more, and Brandon’s expertise shone through as he shared his immense knowledge with us.
His obvious dedication to his craft and to his clients is truly inspiring. Brandon went WAY above and beyond. Despite the extensive time and effort he invested in valuing our jewelry, he provided this service - as noted above - completely free of charge. This level of generosity and commitment is rare and deeply appreciated.
We were so impressed with Brandon’s service that we offered to buy him a restaurant gift card as a token of our gratitude. However, Brandon humbly declined and simply asked for an online review. It is our absolute pleasure to write this review and sing his praises.
Federal Way Custom Jewelers is a gem in the community, and Brandon Jenkins Moak is a shining example of what exceptional customer service looks like. We are so very grateful for his time, expertise, and kindness.
So, for a jeweler who is knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely cares about his clients, Brandon and Federal Way Custom Jewelers is your man. Thank you, Brandon, for your amazing service. You have earned our highest praise and...
Read moreI can't say enough good things about FWCJ. I was proposed to in Nov 2021 with an emerald engagement ring from Brilliant Earth. After a month of having my ring and just working from home, the center stone fell out. Brilliant Earth was wishy-washy about covering the re-setting of the stone that shouldn't have fallen out in the first place. I agreed to have Brilliant Earth re-set the stone, but heard horror stories online of their poor workmanship. I made an appointment with Sean at FWCJ for the day after getting my ring back from BE. He was so kind, understanding, and helpful. He took one look at my newly re-set ring and was able to tell the stone would keep falling out. He explained how the prongs were supposed to function and the faults in BE's design and craftsmanship that led to this. He then showed us on the microscope so we could see for ourselves. He recommended two different options to reinforce the ring and we settled on having the entire head/prongs reset in white gold (10x stronger than yellow gold) and creating a mixed-metal look for my ring. He was not pushy about getting the work done, just made honest and reasonable recommendations based on our wants and needs. Once we decided to get started with the re-set, it ended up being ready sooner than we thought. While working on my ring, they noticed some side prongs holding the small diamond accents were not in ideal condition from the original construction and they fixed them at no cost. The quality of the work is great, my ring looks like it should have when we first received it. If I had known about Federal Way Custom Jewelers at the time and could do everything over again, I would have recommended my fiancé go to FWCJ originally to purchase my engagement ring. We are so thankful to work with a jeweler that is honest, reasonable, and produced beautiful quality work. We will definitely be back for any future jewelry needs and definitely for our wedding...
Read moreBrandon, at this lovely shop, not only bought my jewelry but restored my faith in mankind! I had the daunting task of selling inherited jewelry. Some was cheap costume jewelry but other pieces appeared high quality. After reading the reviews I took a leap of faith and reached out to Brandon to make an appointment. He responded quickly and set the date. I was full of dread and anxiety at the thought of some high and might gemologist trying to intimidate and low ball me. I took a friend for support. I was pleasantly surprised and more than a little impressed with Brandon's expertise and kindness. He patiently went over each piece and educated me on the fine art of determining value. He gave me his undivided attention and other staff members were on hand to help. I felt valued and he understood the emotional nature of selling inherited jewelry. He also counseled me on pieces that I may want to keep. I left feeling confident I got a great price for the lot and never once felt manipulated or taken advantage of. I won't hesitate to refer to this fine shop and I hope that I get to buy there at some point. The jewelry is unique...
