I am writing to express my concern and disappointment regarding the treatment I received during my recent visit. My daughter informed the staff that my doctor had faxed over an order earlier in the day, but they declined to look for it and were notably unkind in their manner. Only after my daughter made it to the parking ramp did they call to say the fax had been located, which suggests it had been there all along.What hurt most was how unwelcome I felt. As someone going through a new cancer diagnosis, every interaction in my care journey matters deeply. The way I was treated made me feel unwelcome and uncomfortable, as if my presence and care needs did not matter. Coping with a new cancer diagnosis has already been one of the hardest challenges of my life, and this experience added unnecessary emotional weight to an already difficult journey. I went there to get a breast pump around 3pm on a Monday. A lady greeted me and told me it would be a few minutes, and someone was on lunch. No problem. I sit there for over 20 minutes and a guy walks in and gets helped right away...then right after that a couple walk in and get help right away. I definitely speak up at that point and finally someone helps me. What the heck? I’m 38 weeks pregnant and I have a 1.5 year old with me. All I want is a breast pump. When I’m finally helped they tell me they only have medella pumps and I want a spectra so they really couldn’t help in the end at all. The current service at this location in the Lemmen Holton building is horrible. In years past, there were friendly, knowledgeable staff working there. Now when I call I am greeted with rudeness. They make you feel like you are bothering them. It is one person in particular. In the past, I have gotten very good service from someone named Rebecca, but when I ask for her, I am treated rudely. If I manage to get her, she’s great, very helpful, and not rude. Very disappointing that this woman treats cancer patients so rudely. If she hates working there so much, she should...
