I've been here quite a few times and I absolutely love it. All the workers I walked by made sure to help me and they were incredibly friendly. One worker in particular noticed me looking at some Moldavite rings and let me try them on even after I said they were out of my price range and I wasn't planning to buy one. Another worker also opened a case of crystals when they saw I was looking at the different tigers eye towers to let me hold them and get a better look to decide which one to buy. Every single time I've visited all the workers have been amazing. I've seen a lot of people in the reviews complaining about the prices, but it's a downtown crystal shop so I don't know what they were expecting, and I think most prices are pretty fair. I'm also a high schooler with not a lot of money so A LOT of things are out of my price range, and while some items definitely are on the pricier side (by my standards), I still leave with something new every single time. They have a wide selection of items like gems, fossils, jewelry, and even some pinned butterflies, bats, snakes, and other interesting oddities. I can't decide if the kiddos running the store are nice or snoody with their tones. We did a field trip and the person that did the talk was nice enough. There were 2 that were going back and forth about how many could be accommodated at the gem mining area. They told us that max they could fit 15 and asked 2 kids not to do it. Because they aren't parents or older adults I guess adding 2 buckets was more than their brains could handle. There was actually room at the end for 2 more so anyway all of it was just super annoying. Like just add 2 buckets and be done with it. Second there was miscommunication about pricing and I ended up paying 2.25 extra a person for the trip. 3rd those are the most expensive prices I have ever seen in a gem store and I would never purchase at those prices your definitely overpaying. Again the staff was nice enough but it was a fake nice with tones underneath. If you've ever worked in hospitality you know what I mean. One girl specifically had a demeaning tone underneath, I'm not a fan.

I just had a Birthday Party for my 7 y/o son. I just want to say that this experience EXCEEDED my expectations! Every child should have a Gem Mining Party in their lifetime! It was so awesome, they had SO MUCH fun! All the parents had so much fun watching the joy exude from the little one's at the awe & wonder of all their precious gems. On top of that, they really show the Birthday Boy/Gal the special treatment, tons of keepsakes. It's amazing to be able to walk away with your finds, but they get an added goodie bag in addition to their mined gems. The party room was already decorated, and in a nice loft area overlooking the store. I would do this again and again as long as my boys ask for it! They already want the same party next year ;-) Such a great party, worth...
