T.J. Maxx — Local services in Hickory

I have loved TJ Maxx forever. They have great deals and great merchandise and as a professional who travels I have visited TJ Maxx stores all over the United States and have always had a good experience until Mooresville, North Carolina! I went in and bought Over $250 worth of merchandise, but noticed that my total didn’t add up once I got home. I noticed that I had been charged for two things twice. I brought one of the items back to the store as it was a clothing items so they could see with the tag still attached and one of the items was a beauty product that I had opened. Well, to my surprise, it was told to me that I needed to bring the other item back and I was basically treated like I was trying to steal something like I was trying to get money back for something I had not paid for on a $5.99 Beauty item. The young lady at the register told me before I left the store. I should’ve done a quick review of my receipt that is something ideal to say when the cashier should be scanning items one thing at a time before she puts them in your bag or being quiet and not indulging so much in light banter. What a way to blame it on the customer the item that I wanted to keep that I brought back as proof that I got charged twice for I end up returning for a refund. I am a working professional and do not have to steal a 599 Beauty item and the 1299 piece of lingerie. Stores have to learn they won’t stay in business if they don’t give good customer service. I love TJ Maxx, but I can no longer and will no longer shop at the one in Mooresville,...

Wonderful customer service went for and beyond when I purchased a defective pocket book purse. Without hesitating they replace my bag and I really appreciate your time to help me in this situation thank you.

THIS WAS MY REVIEW OF TJMAXX BEFORE CHRISTMAS 2022 THEN MY COUSIN AND I WENT THERE YESTERDAY 2/25/2023 TO SEARCH FOR PURSE BAGS. OH LORD, NEVER HAVE BEEN TREATED SO BAD IN MY LIFE AND THEY NEVER SAID A Word TO US. THESE TWO WOMEN EMPLOYEES THEY KEPT WALK IN ALL AROUND US WITH THERE ARMS CROSSED AND WATCHING US LIKE WE WAS GOING TO STEAL THE BAGS AND FIR ONE THEY HAVE SERCRITY THINGS ON THEM SO HOW CAN WE STEAL THEM. WHICH WE WASN'T. AND ALL WE WAS Doing WAS LOOKING AT THE BAGS WE JUST LEFT THE STORE FEELING SO BAD HOW WE WAS TREATED. WE WILL Never EVER GO TO TJMAXX EVER. ILL GET THE WORD OUT ABOUT THIS PLACE IF IT HAS ALREADY GOT A BAD REPUTATION HOW THEY TREAT CUSTOMERS. WE UNDERSTAND THERE IS Theft HAPPENING EVERYWHERE IN STORES BUT WE WAS Doing NOTHING WRONG. My mother, sister & I visited this store tonight. We love TjMaxx & are regular customers. The store closes at 9:30... at 9:20 we got in the checkout line ready to leave before the store closed. At 9:25 (still waiting in line as only 2 registers were open), they proceeded to turn the lights off on us. The store doesn’t even close until 9:30pm. We thought this was very rude & inconsiderate. It ended up taking us over 15 minutes total of waiting in line to check out (in the dark) and the whole time we were waiting there was at least 2 employees standing behind the counter that could have opened other registers for faster checkout, especially since they were rushing us by turning the lights off. However, these employees were more concerned with making multiple announcements letting others in the store know that the store was closed rather than helping checkout those who were trying to leave. There were also employees yelling back & forth to each other about the store closing as if we didn’t already know. Trust me, we got the strong hints even though we had gotten in line to checkout with plenty of time before the store actually closed. This is the second time we have been to this particular TjMaxx and had this happen. Very rude, inconsiderate & unprofessional...
