The lady in this shop is very rude if they know you are not buying anything. (Backstory: I had previously bought luau attires from them and it was a whole set for myself, my husband, my 5 yr old and my 3 months old daughters. At that time they were very convincing in order to get us to buy things, they were very friendly and made nice comments towards my girls. To be honest, I could have bought these clothes elsewhere, they are not the only ones selling it and I saw it cheaper at other places but we bought here because they were very convincing at the time). But just a few days ago is when we have seen their true attitude. It was during the night time when we were lining up to eat noodles next door and the end of the line reached their entrance. While we were at the end of the line, It started raining slightly, so I had stepped back to get under their shade because I was only holding my daughter and trying to protect her from the rain and my older daughter followed me as well. And ofcourse we know better not to block her entrance, we were just in the corner. But The lady was standing in their entrance and she immediately told me to move. She just didn’t want us standing by the side of the entrance. Thankfully it stopped raining quickly and we immediately moved back to the line and stayed away from standing under the corner of her roof. She is very rude and didn’t care. If she was truly a nice person like how she acted when we were buying in her store, then she would still be nice to us that night even if we weren’t buying anything from her store. With that experience, I am NEVER again buying anything in this store and would not recommend...
Read moreThis shop is not worth your time. There is a reason for the many one star reviews. For anyone believing the only options are either the ABC stores or this terrible excuse of a store is insane. There are plenty of other great options in the same area. Their products do not appear to be anything special and very similar to other gift shops. They hurled insults at us and pushed us out before I could really look around (we were very polite the entire time). They just did not care about us if we didn’t mindlessly purchase their products they were pushing. I believe this store to be a tourist trap for people who are easily swayed by their aggressive tactics and have not looked around for other gift shops.
My experience: There is a big difference between aggressive and the disgusting behavior at this store. As I walked in, they aggressively pushed their products (which is fine). I was shopping for my girlfriend and she was not interested in the products offered. Rather than being respectful, the owner proceeds to hurl insults, making comments such as “your girlfriend will never be happy with anything!”, “what kind of a girlfriend is that?! Ridiculous!”, and suggesting I just buy her Hawaiian candy since she won’t be happy anyways. I asked her if she sells Hawaiian candy and she says “I don’t know! Figure it out yourself!” and...
Read moreThe prices are consistent with what's offered in the area. What I didn't like is that the shirt I purchased was priced at $49.99. I picked up a few more that were on sale and tapped my credit card to pay without any hesitation. When I actually looked at the receipt when I got back to the hotel I was charged $55. $5 isn't a huge amount of money but on principal I went back to the store and asked the same pushy elderly lady how much the shirt was that was displayed on the wall. It was the same shirt I bought a couple hours before. Except this time it was $49 even +tax. When I showed her the receipt she said the shirt wasn't on sale 2 hrs ago when I bought it🤣🤣🤣🤣. At this point it was comical to me that someone would be that much of an idiot over $5. She looked confused and got angry I was laughing at her. I even went as far as pulling the shirt I literally bought a couple hours ago out of the bag she charged me for to show her along with the receipt. And laughed even harder when she started getting more worked up and repeatedly saying it wasn't on sale earlier in the day. Save yourself so time and shop at Duke's market across the street..they sell all the same...
