If I ever make it back to oahu I would choose Hector as my guide again. My husband and I were picked up and from our hotel by hector and taken to get fitted for gear. We met up with a boat he rented seats from for the day and we were off. It was just us and one more person on the boat. The waters were calm and clear. We did our safety briefings and went over everything we needed to know and practice. He was very much one and one and made sure we were both sufficient at the hand signals and the movements we need to know before going under the water. We saw a ton of turtles, lots a beautiful fish, eels, and a white tip shark. We both felt safe and comfortable with hector as our guide. He stayed with us and showed us alot of neat things, he had an etchy sketch with him so he could tell us the names of the sea life. From beginning to end Hector exceeded expectations! He picked us up from our hotel and was early, he has a lot of gear that is well cared for, and works with good boats. Speaking of, my wife and I were the only divers on this particular trip. Plenty of snacks to choose from in between dives and a nice micro after the second dive. Hector knows the dive sites like his own home, we saw a lot of critters in their hidey holes thanks to him.
