The Nunnlea House was wonderful! A great place to have a wedding. We celebrated my nephew's wedding on September 29, 2018. Even though it had rained for weeks before, it was a beautiful sunny day. The ceremony took place outside at 5 pm. Across the street, a house was having a roof replaced but they were kind enough to take a break during the ceremony. Not so much from the other neighbor though. He or someone inside his home thought it would be funny to set off the car alarm not once but twice during the ceremony. I later found out that this house belongs to Hurstbourne Acres Commissioner of Sanitation and Recycling Terry McAllister. He later denied that his alarm went off but there are over 100 people that witnessed it and even the officer on duty said he heard it. Read moreNunnlea was the perfect place for our wedding reception this fall. Kathleen, the manager of the home, was a pleasure to work with leading up to the event. We were even able to come in a day early to set up since no one had planned an event that day. This made everything run much more smoothly since we were planning everything ourselves with the help of family and friends. The house is so beautiful and elegant, and its historical details make it such a truly unique space. It was the perfect size for our smaller group of 65 but could easily accommodate larger groups. Which made all the difference in the world in such a wonderful & exciting, hectic time & gave us a phenomenal rate!! We could absolutely not have gotten everything ready without that access!!
