Upon arriving at my room (#442) on the evening of August 20, I was hopeful for a comfortable night's rest. However, within 20 minutes of laying down, I was horrified to discover a significant number of bed bugs crawling onto the pillow and bed.||In response to this alarming discovery, I immediately contacted the front desk to report the issue. The attendant who assisted me was courteous and provided me with an alternative room. However, it became evident that the staff were ill-prepared to handle such a situation, as no proper procedure was followed to address the bed bug infestation. This lack of preparedness and knowledge only added to my distress and frustration.||The problems did not end there. In the new room (#445), I encountered multiple additional issues that made my stay even more uncomfortable. The toilet in the new room emitted constant noises throughout the night, disrupting my sleep. Furthermore, I was unable to rest until 3am due to the fear of inadvertently carrying bed bugs with me. I spent a significant amount of time cleaning both myself and my belongings to ensure I did not inadvertently transport any pests.||Additionally, I noticed a stain on the mattress cover in the new room. While I did not request a replacement mattress cover due to the late hour, it was disappointing to find such an oversight in the cleanliness of the accommodations.||Perhaps the most concerning aspect of my experience was witnessing the lack of awareness regarding the bed bug infestation from the housekeeping staff the following morning. I observed two cleaning personnel attending to the infested room as part of their regular routine, seemingly unaware of the situation. This oversight raises serious concerns about the hotel's cleanliness and the training provided to your staff.||I sincerely hope that this draws your attention to the urgent need for improved training, procedures, and accountability within your establishment. As a guest, I expected a comfortable and safe environment during my stay, which unfortunately was far from the reality I experienced.||Furthermore, I wish to highlight the substantial impact these issues had on my intended business trip. Our company specializes in clothing, and due to the bed bug situation, we were compelled to cancel the entire trip from August 20-24. Given the nature of our business, the potential risk of bringing bed bugs to our clothing warehouse was not acceptable. As a result, we incurred significant financial losses due to flight, accommodation, other expenses, and the wasted time of our team members.||This unfortunate sequence of events not only caused financial strain but also disrupted our professional commitments and operations. It is my hope that by addressing these concerns, you will not only enhance the quality of your hotel's services but also acknowledge the tangible business-related setbacks that arose from this situation.||I appreciate your attention to this matter and look forward to hearing...
Read moreTerrible experience, I could not wait to write this review! I love Louisville and can tell hospitality is big here. I've never had such a poor experience with any other hotel in the city I've even stayed at the Baymont next door and had a better experience. On to the stay..... When we first arrived, it wasn't very welcoming one front desk person stayed in his phone the entire time never looked up and the lady who helped us made the interaction very unpleasant. The layout of the building makes you feel like you're in a maze walking from the front desk to your room. Now on to the room, the toilet seat in the bathroom was horrendous.... I don't know why put it was lumpy almost as if someone paint were peeling. I don't know how to explain it and should have taken pictures I stayed in room 148. There was a bug in the sink and under the trash can. I was told housekeeping would come every other day, they did not. They knocked one day, I asked for one second to make myself decent the lady continued down the hallway, when I waved to her she ignored me and disappeared. I had to call the front desk for towels and washcloths. When the lady came back she rolled her eyes at me, I said thank you and she stormed off. Everyday I had to go to the front desk for towels and washcloths and toilet paper. My last night here I had to go get more towels and washcloths and toilet paper, again, the front door was locked for security reasons I'm sure. The sign above the button states for you to either use your room key or ring the bell for assistance. The gentleman working the counter came to let me in because he recognized me obviously but the lady next to him made him stop and tell me to go get my room key. So I had to go get my room key just to be allowed in. It felt very discriminating and added to my dissatisfaction of this establishment and I will NEVER stay here again or refer anyone here. Not worth the money, you can find MUCH nicer for cheaper!! I suggest the...
Read moreI’m a Marriott Elite Member and I have to say that this by far has been the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in. I’m not one to complain much, as no hotel is perfect and normal wear and tear is to be expected but this hotel was beyond that.
We arrived around 7:00 PM and it appeared as if the hotel was closed, didn’t have any lights on and the front section had very few cars. Upon entering we were greeted with a typical Marriott lobby that had been updated some. We pulled around to the back of the hotel closer to our room and upon entering the hotel the hallway was rundown and temperature was very warm.
We made it to our room and it was also warm, musky smelling and just uncomfortable. We attempted to turn the thermostat down but the air conditioner was not turning on. So I went down and the individual at the front desk was very helpful and had a maintenance man come to our room to look at the unit. The individual came within a few minutes and was able to get it going. (It had been unplugged). The temperature in the room got better but it never really cooled down to our liking.
Next problem… the carpet in our room was absolutely disgusting. I do not know what was on it nor do I probably want to but it caused our feet to stick to the bathroom tile and was just dirty. There were marks all over it and when I was on my knees rearranging the cooler we packed my knees also had stuck to the floor.
Bathroom.. almost clean… there were stains on the base of the toilet which were not from us.. again I can only imagine what it was. A few of the lights in our room had burnt out bulbs and our refrigerator wasn’t working.
I have always had very positive experiences with Marriott Hotels, however this one was far from the 190.00 a night x 2 we paid (we had two rooms) It is in desperate need of remodeling and updating.. and some...
