I rarely review businesses, but it’s been 2 weeks since we went there and we are still fuming about how rude and pushy the worker (owner) was. Not to mention how over priced everything was. I and my husband brought our infant and toddler. We were just walking through downtown for a family Saturday afternoon together when we thought we’d see what this business was like and maybe support them.
The first thing she did after greeting us was beratemy toddler who excitedly pulled a stuffed octopus that they were selling off her “display” table and snatch it out of his hands. She told him to pick from the shelf underneath. Thankfully he wasn’t hurt by that, but what do you expect a 3 year old to do when there’s one of his favorite animals on a table in front of him. Then she told him to put it on the counter so “mom and dad could buy it” for him promising my son we would buy it when we literally just walked in the door.
Then we corrected him (mostly her) that we might get it after looking around. However, as we looked around she kept telling my son to put things on the counter for us to buy him making us the bad guys when we told him we might (not really) come back for the $60 octopus or the $20 cat that couldn’t be bigger than a tennis ball.
Everything in there is obviously cute and good quality but nowhere near the worth that they were priced at. As I mentioned the toys were extremely and when I reversed image searched them online they were selling for 50% or more less than her prices. The clothes prices were astronomical too. I was wearing the exact same shirt I saw displayed (just different brand) and thought I might buy it since it’s one of my favorites. She was charging $40 for a shirt I bought for $6. Again I had the same exact pair of pajamas (this time the same brand) and she was charging $90 for ones I picked up online for $15.
When I briefly mentioned that these (the toys) were pretty pricey to my husband, she said it was because these are nice and designer brands and that we’ll never find nicer toys. 🙄
To get our son to be okay leaving, we had to take a “picture for later” so that we could know what he liked when it was time to get him a present. Included is the picture we took of the pile she had our son make to guilt us into buying...
Read moreVery rude older woman working there. My husband, mom, brother and myself went in to look at some items when I was expecting and everything was fine when we entered. She said hello and asked if we needed anything and we said no, we were just looking around. I thought that was the end of the conversation and started browsing products but she kept coming over and telling us her opinions about products and how to use them and when I told her we just wanted to look and weren't there for anything in particular she started doubling down on why we needed to buy certain things and really pushing her sales but honestly the prices just weren't justifiable but I didn't want to be rude so I said thank you and that we were just heading out.
My brother (who is 16 btw) decided to smell one of the perfumes/colognes at that moment, she kept pushing for him to buy it even though he said it wasn't his style so he called me over to ask what I thought. I told him I wasn't a fan of the smell (which was true but also to try to politely save him from her aggressive sale tactics) and that's when things when from awkward to hostile. She told me that I was wrong about the smell and that everyone liked it and I said they may all like it but I don't. She got really mean after that saying how it's her best seller, everyone liked it, I must be me that is the issue, my pregnancy nose just didn't know good taste, etc. I naturally got upset and told her that that not everyone has to like the same thing, the perfume wasn't something anyone in my family liked and that we were leaving.
I've gone there three times hoping for better outcomes and it's always a horrible experience. I will no longer be going back.
TL;DR very rude, terrible customer service, pushing sales, attacking customers, cornering a teenager to try and make a sale. Will not...
Read moreAbsolutely terrible service! I am a mother expecting. DETAILED REVIEW. My husband and I walk in and the person working was an older female. She was on the phone so we walked around a bit waiting till she got off. My husband had enough and just stared at her waiting. Making complete eye contact which made it an awkward moment as she is talking about politics with the person she’s on the phone with! She DOESNT even get off the phone!!! She just tells the person on the phone to wait one sec and asks if we need anything. We said what we needed but she was rude with her tone sounding a bit annoyed. Then we said ok and left while she went back on the phone. 15 minutes in a store and can’t even get told hello, goodbye, have a nice day etc… if you can be on your phone having a friendly conversation you can pay attention to your customers! We wanted to purchase a couple things and ask a few things about the cute little shop but not when we aren’t even getting welcomed into the store! Not getting shown us customers were worth her time. Absolutely terrible terrible customer service and for that reason, I nor my husband will go there again even if it’s a cute little shop. Everyone saying that she was friendly and that it was good service, either she’s racists or she’s judgmental and that ain’t gonna fly with me. Especially cause she talked to my husband...
