Flossie's General Store — Local services in Jackson

We have been in here twice in a year. Even though it left a bad taste the first time due to the strict rules and the following behind you, we decided to give it another shot. And again same thing. Came right out from behind the counter “cleaned up” after us, pretended to stock shelves so they could watch us look around, listened to us look through the items made comments and it was very very clear they do NOT like children. They shouldn’t have kids toys in there if they don’t want to attract children there. What’s up with all the cameras and “no photography?” Who cares!? We put the two items we had in our hands back because we were giving them a dollar of our money. Not worth it. Their ignorance drove us out and we will not be back. Plenty of other welcoming places...

Stopped in on way to local b & b in Jackson. Two women working did not welcome us or say hello when we entered. My wife started to take a photo of some local seasoning packets that were marketed in a comical way - see said photo. One of the woman yelled all they way across the store very loud and sarcastically to stop taking photos as this was prohibited and there was a sign that explained this... which we did not see. It was not in a very polite manner I might add. We did not feel like dropping any cash after that nor did anyone else in the store as they left when we did. After this rude encounter we decided to take our business elsewhere. Not welcoming at all and a lot of outdated expired food in there and over...

OMG Steve and I LOVE driving all over NH finding little mom and pop general stores and Flossie's is a quintessential country store that we will definitely go back to. I was very surprised as much as we have traversed the state that we had never been to Jackson, NH so Flossie's was a nice little surprise. The Honeymoon Covered Bridge is 25 feet away from the store so you can get a photo op and some shopping done all in one place. A cute, kitschy, and quaint country store that is a must visit if you're ever in...
