I love how small this Kroger feels, it seems like it's a secret between those that work in the area and especially those that live in the area. It is often stocked with exactly what I need, except Heineken I suspect it's an area favorite as often as it's sold out. The people see you enough that they understand just about how each customer operates. Personally I'm not a talker, after about two times seeing someone they accept this and will carry on a lengthy conversation with the next person. They cater their attitudes depending upon the customer...sometimes.
The gentleman that often runs the U-Scan lane is often very rude like he has a chip on his shoulder. He has little spring to his step and often is fully decorated with a scowl just in case you thought he'd have a nice word or even a "thank you" when you see him. The more "experienced" cashiers are often the same as well. I feel that they guess they experienced this planet for long enough so they'll be damned if they have an attitude that is above the "go to hell" level. Outside of these two types of employees everyone else that works there has been nothing but friendly...
Read moreI know this store very well. I have been shopping here 3 or more times a week for 34 years. It’s traffic increased a lot lately because the other nearby groceries have closed or moved away: ValuMarket; Fresh Market; Walmart Neighborhood Grocery and Walmart Store. At least one more nearby may close soon. This Kroger isn’t a superstore, but it’s in the suburbs with thousands of houses and businesses within a few sq miles and little competition. That said, this store is going down instead of meeting the challenges of growth. Produce is great and the meat is tops. Employees are friendly and efficient, but keep changing. The store is clean. But, the shelves often are unstocked. The brands I buy are slowly disappearing from the shelves. Almost all the deli meats are Blue Boar brand, again, few choices. Twice this month I bought bread that was molded when I got home. (Once the store brand and most recently Wonder Bread). If I have to go to a different grocery, I will buy all my groceries there and it’s unlikely I will switch back. I hope this review helps identify some serious issues, as it is...
Read moreKroger, this Kroger, in particular, sadly feels Louisville must shop with them. They are so wrong, but if you know me, I shop all over looking for great service. This Kroger's deli is the poorest deli I've ever been in around the world. The food was poor, the service was crap, and the department was super dirty. I waited for my food so long (11-16-24) at 11 am. I just had to leave. I prayed that the person behind the counter would serve me, no such luck. He basically said, " I wish you would leave!" With the increasing popularity of insta cart and shipt, I hope everyone will stop accepting trash service from their neighborhood market like linn Station's Kroger. There were several people in line with me, so I know others are struggling as I did on this unfortunate experience. Push back, shop at other stores, and don't be a prisoner to your neighborhood location.. Publix, fresh market, and other locations has much better...
