Follow up- manager apologized for my awful visit. Appreciate it.
Olive Garden has always been one of my favorite restaurants that I go to!!!! But DO NOT go in Christmas Eve. I was very happy when I found out Olive Garden was open during Christmas Eve so I took a special and very important guest with me there and we both had literally the worst experience at any restaurant. I was very uncomfortable and embarrassed. The workers made it VERY OBVIOUS that we aren’t welcomed and rushed us to get out of there, which unfortunately happened. We asked for to go boxes the minute our food arrived and took my guest to a coffee shop to eat which I’m very upset about since the food was very cold by that time. The workers were disrespectful and lied to us upon our entrance, they said the food will take an hour to be prepared if we decide to dine-in. she rolled her eyes at us when we agreed on the hour wait and angrily grabbed the menues to help us dine in!!! Our server was much nicer but we still felt very rushed and uncomfortable!!! She asked us what to order the minute we sat down (can we get a minute to look at the menus?) again feeling rushed!!!! We decided to order As soon as possible without looking more at the menu (the restaurant at this time was literally packed with people)!! We got our food TEN MINUTES after ordering (then we realized the worker’s lie about the one hour wait for the food to be ready?!) they gave us our checks a minute or two after the food has arrived?!! Again feeling rushed! they then started vacuuming next to us WHILE we were about to eat?!!!!!!!! One worker shouted “did everyone leave yet” very close to our table!!!! That’s when I asked for to go boxes and left!!!!! I didn’t want to speak to a manager at that time because I didn’t want it to be more uncomfortable for my guest I just wanted to get out of there. We showed up at 7:30PM and the restaurant closes at 8PM!!! Why are you open til 8pm if you mind people arriving from 7-8?????? If the workers have that big of a problem working Christmas Eve til 8pm then the workers should probably either take off or the restaurant should closes just like the majority of the other restaurants. I am very very upset that I had experienced this while I was accompanied by an important guest. And I still tipped them cuz it...
Read moreTook my wife out for her birthday dinner. Olive Garden on Hurstborne has always be our favorite, going all the way back to the 1997 where when we were young kids just trying to have a special night out. Like many places times change, restaurants go more corporate and are never the same. I live in Bullitt County and had to endure going to the JMall location which has done very well since Covid only cause its closer. But enough about that. Yesterday we chose to have a early birthday dinner for her around 330. We got sat in a location we've used to enjoy years back. I call it the red room off to the left. As we placed our order and got our soup and salad we started battling with regular flies and knat flies. We were just trying to enjoy our outing. With only one other table attended to in our area it really seemed like we waited a long while to get our food. Drinks ran empty (water). Then 2 parties of 6 came along. Our server waited on them took there order and drink orders. We asked for refills. Food still didn't come. When the food finally came she said she'd get us our drinks and be right back. Came back with another tables salads and drinks. Still no refills. My chicken and shrimp carb and wife's chicken tortellinis was not good. Chicken was mushy and her tortellini were dry and stuck to the plate. My wife could only eat about 1/3 of her meal cause thats all she could stomach. When we finished our server then refilled our waters. The server apologized and asked if we needed a box for my wife's food she said no and that it wasn't good. The server did take it off the bill however. Our experience was very poor and our server if prepared could had handled her tables if she didn't show more attention 2 the 2 6 party tables she had. It shouldn't matter how many your party is for. You should be treated all the same. We left very unpleased and very sad to see how this location has changed. I hope this review sheds some light on the potential this location has and needs to stay. The only reason i gave a 2 star cause 1 star was due to the fact it was once my...
Read moreWe were so looking forward to going to to Olive Garden tonight. It’s a special place to us. Their food is always hot and delicious. We have our old favorites and when getting there we always seem to go back to our favorites. Tonight I did get something different than one of my usual dinners with them. I chose to get the Fettuccine Alfredo with Grilled Chicken. My sweet husband looked all thru the menu but went back to his favorite, Lasagna. Our server came up within 3 minutes of our arriving. We both ordered their unsweetened Iced Tea. I don’t know how they do it, but it was wonderful. Ahmeelia G was our server tonight. She had the most winning personality of any server we’ve had in a long time. After she brought us our drinks, we gave her our order. We ordered Pasta e Fagioli Soup and Chicken Gnocchi Soup and our bread sticks. Their soups are so delicious that it’s very tempting to want to order refills, but we know now that we can’t order refills and be able to eat an entree. We had just finished our soup when Ahmeelia came back to our table to apologize that it was taking so long to get our meals, and she was teasing my husband by saying that it was his Lasagna that was taking so long. She was so cute! She came right back with our food and the familiar notice that the plates were really hot. Oh my goodness, our meals were so delicious. The lasagna had disappeared and I had 3/4ths of my Grilled Chicken Alfredo was left for tomorrow. Every trip she made to the table to check on us, revealed more sweet details about her. I could have talked all night! I didn’t though, I had to order my special Birthday Dessert that Olive Garden had sent me. We ordered the Chocolate Lasagna Cake, and sweet little Ahmeelia brought out the white chocolate to grate on the top of our cake slice. For our first time during this Birthday Celebration, we brought home 90% of our cake to enjoy later when we weren’t so full! I have got to tell you all- If you go to Olive Garden Hurstbourne, ask for Ahmeelia to be your server! You’ll love her as...
