Alaris Health at Hamilton Park — Local services in Jersey City

PLEASE LISTEN TO ME, IF THERE WAS A ZERO ,I WOULD PUT A ZERO RATING!!! THIS IS THE WORST PLACE TO PUT YOUR LOVED ONE!!! DON'T DO IT!!! I PUT MY MOTHER HERE IN OCTOBER OF 2023, BY MAY THIS PAST MONTH 6 DAYS AFTER HER BIRTHDAY AND 2 DAYS AFTER MOTHERS DAY SHE WAS DEAD!!! They Said She died of a heart attack, But there was also So much abuse and necklace done to My mother not even funny.She got hospitalized, went there unresponsive, Found with Severe brush on her eye never went away .in hospital she almost died 1st time.She was terrified that something happened at that nursing home to her but she wouldn't tell me what .She wouldn't Stop crying !!! She was so scared!!When I went there to pick up her clothes, her stuff taken out her room n put in a storage.!!! The nurse Stole her Money, I got harassed by someone that Worked there .And I wasn't contacted about a situation about her roommate that had dementia that kept hitting my mother, n they blamed it all on my mother n my mother said she never hit the woman. They were supposed to change other lady's room never did. A conversation that took place between a psychologist n My mother that I was not contacted by .I called several times ,they refused to let me speak to my mother forc2 whole days putting me in distress. And I think my mother fell, because that's what a Dr told me n they never told me also I think my mother was having a relationship with a nurse that she called her brother. So this place did so much to her stole her money out her purse while she was in the hospital. Almost dying.and I called the social worker n other staff team workers to talk when my mother was alive n after she passed they refused to let me talk to anyone, I got hung up on several times over n over again. I feel like they abused n killed my mother HOW DARE THEY !!! DO ALL THIS TO MY MOTHER!!! She Deserved So Much better than all of this Suffering n Abuse!!! And She was Sick !!! She went there for care by a Dr. And she got all of this Abuse!!! Also Even the hospital ibwas at asked me if ibwanted to put out an investigation on this nursing home because they did not know about all the brusing.. and my mother was so scared shecWould not stop crying . Also She was afraid to be kicked out of there .and even f she died from a heart attack I want to know for sure ,what happened to her !!! Im.VEEY ,VERY ANGRY AT THIS PLACE!!!im.very WORRIED FOR ALL THE PEOPLE HERE!!! Also I tried to get intouch with Casey the administrator n he would not call me back for the longest time . He called me way later after she passed, n they all were saying he's not there he works in afternoon, n stuff then he called me n told me that's not true, so finally n everything..so but some other lady was trying to ask for him too, n she was crying n they wouldn't let her see him also the administrator I was warningher what.happened to my mother, get your loved one out of here now, before it's too late!!! FORME ITS TOO LATE!!,if I Would have known!!! MY MOTHER IS DEAD!!! ...

The Alaris Health at Hamilton Park in Jersey City, NJ has a Five Star Ratings as one of the best sub-acute nursing facility. One can only enter the elevator, where the smell of urine engulfs the air and then visit and view one of the rooms of this facility to know this is not true!!

1-Patient’s bathroom is leaking and squirts water; 2-Patient’s room floor is dirty and clammy; 3-Nurses do not have empathy; 4-Aides are not aware of patient’s needs and comfort and are unkind; 5-Aides treat patients as if they were all senile and demented, NOT as individuals of sufferings…

My patient at the facility, (a well-witted, smart and very alert chronically diabetic 73-year old man, who is legally blind) has just had an open heart surgery who came from St. Josephs Regional in Paterson. He was still under strong medication for pain and was still lethargic and did not notice his surroundings when he arrived at the facility. He was in a lot of pain the following morning as one of the aides came to bathe him and without letting him know, she went right ahead and pulled him by one of his legs to prop him up on the bed, and, of course, he screamed of pain from his wound. When I came to visit him that day, he was sitting on the edge of the bed, naked and only wearing a diaper (which he never in his life has worn and is well enough not to have to wear one). I FOUND HIM IN TEARS, DEPRESSED AND ANGUISHED WITH DISTRESS AND IN PAIN.

The second morning, again another aide came to change his bed, and without advising him, she grabbed him from underneath and shoved him on the side to which, of course, he screamed with pain. She finished with the bed and left him in a crooked position and when he asked her to help him straighten up, the aide told him that she would be right back, BUT DID NOT RETURN. I hope this makes it clear for everyone to know that rating this place as a 5-Star Sub-Acute facility IS DECEIVING!!!

This facility is by far the worse facility I have ever visited with VERY few exceptions ! From the door the the lobby is fair. Once you get on the elevator it smells like sewer. Disgusting. They tell all the new patients that there was a leak and they had to fix pipes but that smell has been there for as long as my family member has been there and that's almost 2 months!!!!! Their AC units are about 100 years old and is useless. Patients soak in the sweat which is a big FAIL for skin integrity. The staff are always speaking some forgein language and when I visit they are not welcoming at all. The nurses push their cart and give their medication and move on. There is no REAL one to one with their patients. The CNA's are LAZY...again with VERY FEW EXCEPTIONS!! They do a horrible job cleaning their patients and they RUSH since they are always understaffed !!!! The whole nursing staff does not communicate with each other so when you ask a nurse or CNA from the evening shift what happened during the morning shift they are all CLUELESS !!!!! There has been one too many times that I walked in on my family member soaked in dirty linen , laying in the same position for hours at a time !!!!! The nursing supervisors walk around just to show face and know nothing about major issues going on in the units because NOONE communicates!!!! My family has more than one facility acquired pressure sore all due to neglect. They will tell you sorry a million times but nothing is done to correct the issue! The nurses blame the CNA's and even told me that the CNA's are horrible - WHY ALLOW THOSE LAZY AIDES TO CONTINUE CARING FOR ANY HUMAN BEING ????? WHY???? BECAUSE THEY ARE SHORT STAFFED AND DESPERATE AND HAVE TO SHOW THE STATE THEY HAVE AMPLE EMPLOYEES TO CARE FOR THESE PATIENTS !!!! DO NOT LEAVE YOUR LOVED ONE AT ALARIS!!!!!!!!!!! IF U CAN STAY THERE 24 at your family members bedside DO IT !!!!! We need voices and more calls made to the department of health to protect our...
