The star of the show at The North Bowl is undeniably the acai bowls. The bowls were a visual delight, resembling vibrant canvases adorned with a medley of fruits, nuts, and granola. Each bite was a burst of freshness, as the velvety acai base harmonized with the crisp textures of the toppings. The balance of sweet and tart flavors showcased the careful selection and quality of the ingredients.
One standout among the House Specials was the "Blue Narwhal," featuring a blue coconut base with strawberries and blueberry. The tropical symphony of flavors transported me to a beachside paradise, making it a refreshing choice that left me yearning for more. The customizable options allowed for a personalized experience, ensuring that every bowl catered to individual preferences.
The smoothies at The North bowl were equally impressive, offering a refreshing alternative for those on the go. The "Leify Greens" smoothie, with kale, pineapple, and a touch of avocado, was a revitalizing potion that energized both my body and taste buds. The use of fresh, high-quality ingredients was evident, making each sip a nutritious and enjoyable experience.
The North Bowls commitment to health and sustainability was evident in their sourcing practices. Locally sourced fruits and eco-friendly packaging demonstrated a dedication to both community and the environment, adding an extra layer of satisfaction to the dining experience.
In conclusion, The North Bowl is a shining star in the realm of acai bowls and smoothies. Read moreI was really excited to have an acai bowl place closer to me. Unfortunately, I was extremely disappointed by the quality, portion size, and cost of the food. Maybe other items on the menu are good, so if y'all find your go to, no judgement.
You can see from my photo of the "hot honey avocado toast" that it has a very thin layer of avocado on a similarly thin piece of bread. I would bet a ton that it's the bread alone peasant bread with a pre packaged avocado spread from the grocery store. The feta was also kind of dry and unappealing. This was $6. I hate being a stereotype and paying for $10 avocado toast, but I would if it meant that I got real freshly prepared avocado.
As for the acai bowl, this is a ridiculously small size for $16. Generally for that much, I expect a few layers of acai in a bigger bowl. The acai doesn't look vibrant and fresh. Its watery and barely has any flavor.
I was expecting this to be a great, satisfying lunch. But now I need to find something else to eat alongside. Which completely defeats the purpose of buying takeout. The only good thing I can say is that...
