Merchandised well. I am new to wearing free people, and have spent about $500 in the last few months, on some pieces online. I am from out of state, and was thrilled to find a free people store. We actually walked past it, and then I decided to go in. I was not acknowledged at all, besides being looked at upon entry and a taller older women who flew from the back to sale after us being there for 5 minutes. My standard is to be greeted within the 1st 60 seconds, unless extremely busy. I asked the woman about a item in the very front that drew me in, and I couldnât find. Being a retail manager in the past, I would have offered a size or to try on. She didnât offer anything to me and said âitâs a setâ. She also didnât show me where it was? Why? She was âfixingâ racks that were already sized and fixed. My boyfriend has been nailing me on budget recently, and I was checking out sale. I actually found some stuff I was interested in. Due to the lack of customer service, I decided to leave empty handed. I felt like they assumed since I called stuff âexpensiveâ when my boyfriend asked (he would have bought me something if I wanted it) that I was trying to steal or that I needed to be watched because I was wearing AE. There was about 3-5 people working, and I wasnât acknowledged at all besides that 10 second moment and sort of being followed and observed. I was a very AP driven manager, and I know when Iâm being profiled. My boyfriend told me it was probably because I said things were expensive, they ARE! Regardless of how much you make. Also, I was declined in a sense to show him how much I actually paid for some things. Assuming is the worst you can do in retail!
Please work with your people to help boost sales. We were the only ones in there.
It was a very âletting downâ experience. I was so excited but then was so disappointed it made me write a...
Read moreExceptionally poor customer service from the store and from corporate!!! We were over charged for a necklace. The ticket price was $30 we were charged $38 +tax. We did not realize this until we got home. We then spoke with chat on-line who said they could do nothing and we need to speak to the store. We called the store and they said they could not refund and to call customer services. We emailed customer services and sent them a photo of the necklace with the price tag of $30 and the receipt showing the charge of $38. Yet, again they did not care and were pretty rude and said it needed to go back to the store for a refund. We went on to their facebook page and messaged them, they were just as useful and rude and would not help and just said we needed to go back to the store for a refund. We explained yet again that it would cost so much more in gas to travel back to the store to the store to get an $8 refund.
We have our own business and have credit card services so know how easy it is to refund a customer so to be told they could only do this in store is false and obviously just didn't want to refund or take the time to refund.
We were passed from pillar to post and received terrible customer service from everyone we spoke to and in the end they washed their hands with it and just told us to speak to our credit card company...so this is what we will have to do but it will be for a full...
Read moreThis store caries a small selection of the bohemian and natural styles we have all come to appreciate from the Free People brand. The store is beautifuly staged and always smells nice. Unfortunately this store is leaning more towards a display of inspirational fashion art and less towards a functional place for the average tourist or local woman to buy clothing. Free People website caries many clothing pieces that I can wear as a size 14/16 woman. I have tried to shop at this store many times in the 5 years they have been in Disney Springs and have yet to find an article of clothing I can wear. I can still find cute accessories here but the clothing size selection is very much limited to the S, M, L crowd. (Mostly S,M) to be specific. I would love to shop here more because I love the brand and vibe. It would be really great if they were more...
