Read moreWent to Disney Springs to check out the holiday displays and some of the seasonal offerings at Jock Lindsey's. While I've enjoyed a to go cocktail from their outside bar in the past, this was my first time inside. Just want a drink to go, but the outside bar is closed? Skip the line and head to the bar inside. They are happy to serve a drink to go The interior dining room is small, but there is quite a lot of outdoor dining. Don't be deterred by a long line, either. The line was practically to the main walkway, but in no time, we were seated inside. I read that the bar was named after the pilot that flew Indiana Jones at the beginning of Raiders of the Lost Ark and there are definitely nods to Indi and the movies, especially the drink menu. We enjoyed a number of items from the holiday menu, O' Ham N' Cheese Trees (presented under a smoky cloche, crisp puffed pastry, great flavor, the cheese star on top had a nice heat), Here We Come A-Croquetting (everything about these tasty bites scream holiday dinner. Missing Thanksgiving leftovers? this will thrill your tastebuds), Post-Flight "Milk" And Cookies With Coquito (Coquito is the reason we came and while the alcohol level and flavor were on point the consistency was disappointing, after it has settled Coquito either needs to be shaken well or blended to breakup the coconut creme fat solids and if it is not you end up with a chunky texture... you guessed it, the Coquito was chunky. The cookies were tasty - skip the Coquito and get the holiday martini instead) Jock's Holiday Martini (reminiscent of an oatmeal cookie shot) and Eternal Snowfall. We also tried Anything Goes and Cool-Headed Monkey (see what I mean by nods to the Indiana Jones Movies? Both of these are from Temple of Doom) from the regular menu. All the mixed drinks we tried did not disappoint. Carlos and Jamye took excellent care of us at the bar. I'll definitely be...
Read moreWe ended up at the hanger bar after walking out of a different restaurant because of the ridiculous prices and we were absolutely surprised. It’s more of a bar style than it is a restaurant. The menu consists mostly of bar style, small plate, appetizer type dishes. So we decided to order several of them and share them. They bring them out one at a time so it prolongs your visit giving you plenty of time to enjoy your company and the views of the lake surrounding the outside dining area. Pictured are the loaded pretzel which was served like a charcuterie with a giant warm pretzel in the middle. It was incredibly delicious. Everything on the plate was high quality. The sliders were perfectly cooked. I would love to have a full sized burger made exactly like the sliders. The deviled eggs are served with a crispy chicken nugget drenched in hot honey and they are perhaps the best item on the menu. Maybe the best deviled eggs I’ve ever tasted, close to Homecomings deviled eggs. The chicken tacos were also quite delicious. They have a decent selection of beers on tap and a very good cocktail menu, alcohol or non-alcoholic. Unfortunately our server (Devin) was not very good at multi tasking. We were literally 1 minute from leaving and going to yet another restaurant before our drinks finally showed up. We watched several other tables with more guests than we had get served long before us and they showed up long after us. It took way too long to take orders, get drinks, bring out food, and he never even really tried to engage in any kind of conversation with us. It was just very bad service overall. It appeared it was only our server so I will try again another time as the food was so incredibly tasty. Hopefully next time our server will be having...
