Sophie the personal shopper and fashion advisor has been welcoming, warming and genuine with her recommendations since the moment I walked in.

I walked into this whimsical Johnny Was location during my leisure shopping trip at Disney Springs because of the current celestial prints and collection in parts of the window display. Sophie walked to greet me first and professionally ask me what was I looking for. We quickly hit it off and connected personally.

As I moved around the store from one corner to another area, letting my left hand examine the quality and the feel of every garment on my skin and to assess if it’s something my even more sensitive and picky body parts would want covered over them and make closest contact in the moments where I choose to put those garments over me; Sophie also answered all my deliberately articulated question to the best of her abilities while keeping a social physical distance that was very comfortable to my OCD, ADHD and reserved temperament.

This shopping experience with Sophie’s attentiveness, knowledge and genuine-ce (can’t figure out how to spell this word right now and don’t want to risk losing what I have typed so far) is by far one of my top 10 shopping experiences from higher-end, luxury stores, across 3 continents and 15 countries.

I did notice something about Sophie that the majority of humans would mind. But, I found it beautiful in the moments that this unique feature “flared” up; because I witnessed with my own eyes and experienced with all my senses in her complete presence that she was going above and beyond every second of our encounter, in comparison to other frontline employees of all brands and in comparison to the best versions of herself, to make sure I, as a fellow human, receive the most complete information, best companionship and trusted advices as I make conscious decisions to add the most fitted pieces into my favorite clothing garment collection.

I went into the fitting room with over 9 items to try on everything all at once, as a part of my ADHD time management coping method and to help with my OCD level. There were a $598 hand sewn sequin dress that fitted almost perfectly on me (except for my shortness, the dress would require my 5+ inches platform heel that I can no longer wear for more than 5 minutes comfortably), several cashmere sweaters and cardigans, a silk blouse, several active wear pieces.

Throughout the trial, I would walk out sometimes to show Sophie how the pieces look on me because I could not contain the bliss and joy I felt as these wearable artworks feel almost perfectly over my body- the temple of my soul and spirit!

I would ramble to Sophie about what I adore, love and see possible personalized improvements of each garment I showed her. She has never once showed any sign of lost patience!

Sophie patiently listened to everything I said and the details of the dictations I chose, analyzed all the information and get her most genuine, honest, and customer-based advices/recommendations/suggestions!

I was extremely impressed by her honesty, selflessness and knowledge about Johnny Was the brand, design concepts, art team makeup, company culture, company policies, design inspirations and more!

I would have purchase the sequin dress if it was less long and if I haven’t just put 50% down on a commission for a Disney licensed Frozen bronze end table.

With this info, Sophie did one of the most selfless acts I’ve witnessed from a frontline employee and recommended that I go with the celestial print embroidered black long sleeve top that I also adored.

I rarely buy anything gold colored; gold precious metal, gold accents, anything gold is usually not my taste.

But, the celestial print and the quality of the embroidery have convinced me add this exquisite top to my lineup.

As the 6th gold-colored clothing/decorating/accessories piece in my forever collection, this Johnny Was artwork will go down in my personal history...
