The "lady" (?) who runs this store is very rude and unfriendly. We were looking at a vintage record player today and her store clerk was helping us make sure it worked and everything was there. She got all upset that it wasn't on the counter where we saw it. Rather, the clerk had taken it to the nearest plug-in to power it up. She was stomping around like a child. We still purchased the player but it was no thanks to her. My wife wanted us to walk but I was too intrigued by the player. Don't expect ANY customer service from the "lady" running the place. She gets up on the wrong side of the bed.....daily.
Update to this post - It's interesting that a year and a half later, I finally see a response from this lady (Lori) who seems to have a vivid memory of what took place way over a year ago. She indicated that I was the "rude man" who purchased the vintage record player. My wife was actually the person doing the inquiries and who, in the end, made the purchase. Yes - the purchase was for me - but my wife was the one doing the transaction. I was just reporting on the behavior that I was observing from the person working with my wife. Interesting.......... I believe that the Facebook post is from a friend of Lori who is trying to stick up for her.
All that said - we still make it a point to go into this store when we are in the area because it is laid out nicely and can have some very interesting items. I believe that Lori was having a bad day, stressed, and unfortunately, (and maybe unknowingly) was a little off her game and didn't realize how she was...
Read moreWent in to look around and see what they had, only to be thrown off guard by the lady (?) who works there / runs the shop.
We went to ask her a question about an item that was damaged and a possible price drop because of it, and she came off very rude and frustrated. She could of simply stated that it's a dealer price. But, why did she not report it to the dealer if it was dammaged?
Anyway, also went to purchase another item, but because it did not have a price tag. She could not "sell it at all" and grabbed the item of the counter and went to hide it away. I had to return to where to item was and search for the price tag. I found it, and then was able to purchase it.
Also, some prices are way out there. Beware when shopping here, please research an items price before purchasing.
One more thing, everything is...
Read moreWe went to every antique store on this street and this one was by far the one I felt safest in. The owner has put up a clear divider between herself and customers, kept her mask on the whole time we were there (which you think would be obvious but some other places people weren’t even wearing masks to begin with), and had signs throughout to remind people to stay 6’ apart. I found a complete dish set from the 1960/70s that was very reasonably priced and in perfect condition. My favorite antique find in a while. We’ll be back next time...
