Nice trail, easy enough. Would be hard to get lost but there are some "social trails" not shown on the map, so I reccomend taking a pic of the trail map before heading out, with the benches and bridge clearly marked, it's easy enough to orient yourself. We went early on a wet morning and had the place to ourselves. Large interesting trees, ducks, mushrooms, beetles and we finally spotted a rough-skinned newt! They are hard to spot because they blend in so well with the ground. Evidence of deer (droppings and hoof prints in the mud) but we didnt see any. Watch for roots in the path and use caution on the wet wood on the bridge and stairs leading to it. Parking area off of Port Street and also street parking off of 14th.

What a beautiful place! The walk around the pond was easy, flat, shaded, and soft, with a few really cool tree roots to navigate over. I walked the loop around the pond with my wife and pom. Took us about 30-40 minutes. It was very peaceful. If you stop and listen you can hear the trees sway in the wind. I loved how soft the ground was and all the moss, Ivy, ferns, and wild flowers made this trail one of my new favorites in Lincoln City. I didn’t see a ton of wildlife but I did see a young deer with spots right on the trail and it was so magical. I only wish I got a photo. 5 Stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Great hike for the whole family.

I had no idea what this trail would be like, thought it was paved with a pretty little lake. There was a pretty little lake, but paved portion is very short and the actual trail is definitely not smooth so for anyone disabled or with stability issues not recommended but I am disabled and was able to do it but it was hard and so many uneven surfaces. Definitely an adventure but great short hike that I did for 45 minutes. Felt very safe too despite being super wooded but there were houses not far. Definitely worth a stop and short hike if you can do uneven surfaces and hills:)
