TAKE YOUR MONEY AND RUN FAR FAR AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!
Absolutely hands down the worst experience we have ever had in a hotel stay. The view was the ONLY good thing about this room. When we first got there the front desk receptionist was like "oh perfect your room JUST got done!" and we were like well thank goodness we got there after 4 oclock.. it was about 5:15. She points us in the direction of the room. We pull up, and there was dirty towels on the ground in the parking spot.. first impression. Then when we walked in it smelled like wet dog.. 2nd impression. Then to our horror absolutely nothing was cleaned. The worst was unchanged bedsheets with hair, mascara, and boogers on pillow cases! The jacuzzi was full of dirt and hair. No trash bags in the cans. Spit on the bathroom mirror. Food crumbs everywhere including the couch. We were absolutely disgusted. We went back and brought this to the receptionist attention. She apologized saying they were short staffed. She offered a credit for a stay another time (uh heck no!!) if we wanted to go somewhere else. We were like can we just have them come back in and wipe everything down with fresh bedding please? She said absolutely and to give them an hour and she herself will double check herself. Well we gave them 3 hours. We come back its almost 9 o'clock. We go back and they wiped the jacuzzi down.. but thats it. They had the audacity to just flip the dirty pillows around like we wouldn't notice! At this point we are so tired and exasperated we go BACK to the front desk and brought it to her attention. She apologized and said she's the only one there now and she seemed like she didnt know what to do at that point. We wanted to speak with the manager and get a refund. Now its almost 10 oclock and we still hadn't been able to relax! Just stress the entire time. Shoan is the manager and was going to be there in the morning. We asked if we can atleast get fresh bedding and we can change it ourselves... so we packed my car with bedding and went back to the room and changed it on our own. And then to our frustration she gave us the wrong size sheets! Never in my life have I had to do this before. We tried to enjoy the jacuzzi and the sound of the ocean but the windows didnt even stay open... such a joke! We went to bed and it was 11 at that point.. we were over it. We got up bright and early so we could get out of their asap! We talked to the manger Shoan and she was very sweet and immediately offered a refund for our troubles. We got a print out of everything and she said the refund will come through usually 7-10 days and depends on our bank... its now been 14 days and we called asking about the refund because we never got it. SHOAN then says it was never a refund only a credit! That is not what we were told! We even have the print out that says we were to be REFUNDED! Her words. I want the lobby footage because you will be able to hear her tell us clear as day shes so sorry and we will be refunded to our CARD. Nothing about a credit... so sneaky! I would never want a credit for another stay here... horrible service and will probably be the worst experience we will ever have in a hotel stay for the rest of our lives. Read moreHad booked a room last minute and found the seahorse. We had never stayed there before but it was the only place left that seemed to accommodate our needs so we booked it through a booking website. When we got there the office didn't have our reservation in there system. They were able to upgrade us though and i was told it was a better room with a fireplace and oceanview so I thought that would be fine . Upon walking into the room itself i thought not to bad but as time went on there was one thing after another . The large main window in the living room had no screen in it and opened all the way , which was scary since we brought our granddaughter with us and shes only 6yrs old , the room was 90 degrees with no ac so we had the windows open for two days straight but for some reason it was constantly hot. The sink by the vanity was clogged and would fill up whenever used , the shower would barely spray since the selector wouldn't allow the water to fully flow so half of the water came out the bottom of the faucet for the tub. You couldn't watch TV with the curtain open or it would be too bright to see . The TV was like a 20" and about 6ft off the floor as well. No screens in any windows so your window was fully open to let cool air in which never seemed to cool down no matter how long it was open. We had booked the seahorse due to the fact it had a pool and hot tub but upon arrival turned out to not be working so not only could my 6yr old granddaughter possibly fall out a window but no swimming also which was the reason for us to get the room and bring her along so it turned out to be a very disappointing trip for her and us. We ended up booking at another hotel on Sunday and stayed another day just to be able to take her swimming. I would have much rather stayed at the seahorse but with all that had happened and as uncomfortable as we were i decided to pay a higher price just to get a pool for my grandkid to swim and have fun. The staff were awesome and were dealing with a lot of greviences from others unfortunately but kept it positive . They claimed to be under new management but I didn't see a single repair or anyone doing anything to fix the problems. All in all we stayed in a room that was like 90deg , had no screens so people walking by could see us laying in bed in our bedroom , no pool as advertised , a fireplace that put off heat while off , tiny tv's etc... so in the end it was a bust of a trip that was not cheap and not fun for any of us so is there any ideas for making this right or do we just tell others to not ever stay here ? It's a shame because this could of been a better experience for all. If things stay as they are we will not be returning and will tell others not to as well. If it was me I would think the owner would like to do what needs to be done to make it right, but my guess is they will say sorry for our experience . Why can't it be made right somehow so people return. Maybe return business is not a concern ,...
Read moreThis hotel was the worst experience I have ever had. I checked in and was told “oh perfect your room just got cleaned” keep in mind I showed up almost two hours after check in time. I entered the room and there was hair all over the couch, counter, chair and in the jacuzzi. The worst thing is the bed was not changed, there was mascara, dried boogers and other stains on the bedding and pillow case, the mirror in the bathroom had water everywhere and no trash bag in the trash can. I was very respectful and polite when I went to let the front desk know, she apologized and said they will get someone to go clean/change the bedding and to give them some time. I left and came back two hours later (I called them to make sure the room was done, I did not receive a call letting me know the room was cleaned) upon entering the only thing that got cleaned was the jacuzzi and couch/chair. The bed was not changed at all! So I return to the front desk for a second time and this is about 8pm now, and got told “sorry, I can’t give you a refund but I can credit it If you would like to leave” I responded I can’t go anywhere I live over 6hrs away, this was a vacation for me. The front desk responded apologetically “I’m not able to go clean it, it’s just me, I know it’s not right but I can give you bedding and you can change the bedding” so of course i accepted. So I get the clean bedding and head back to the room and I have to change the old bedding and replace it with the new bedding… well it was a king bed but I got a queen size fitted sheet…. It was one thing after another. It’s about 9pm at this point. I return to the front desk the next morning and spoke to the manager Shone, requesting a refund. She was very apologetic once again stating she just took over new ownership and will give me a refund. This was all on 8/7/25-8/8/25 and I still have not received my refund. I have called and sent email. It’s extremely frustrating I have never had to pay for a hotel and make/change my own bed and not be able to enjoy the opportunity to stay in my room…..definitely not what I expected. And still no refund. I do have documentation that I will be sharing. Again, I’m not much of a complainer and honestly felt bad but this is not okay, and still haven’t received any compensation for this horrible experience and situation I had.
