I’m disappointed in the store owner, to say the least. We loved going here every time we come to Oregon but today was the last. My brother was taking a picture of some crystal skulls up at the front. They reminded him of his home country and he’s a photographer, so it was only natural to take a photo. I was over by the dresses way in the back when I heard someone yelling at the top of their lungs. I come to see that the old lady behind the desk was practically on top of the counter screaming at him in front of the whole store “Don’t take pictures, are you kidding me, there’s literally signs all over the store saying that.”. She didn’t know but he’s illiterate 🤦🏽‍♂️ not everyone reads, maybe don’t just assume that? It’s 2023 for god’s sake, normalize disabilities. Anyways, he got really embarrassed, which is a valid response to being scolded after doing something as harmless as taking a picture, and after everyone stopped and stared at him, so we put the mug back that we were going to buy. If we’re going to support a business, they should learn how to handle situations properly to get the money they deserve. It’s okay to not ask for pictures but yelling and public shaming in-front of everyone was uncalled for, it would have been in everyone’s best interest if she would have just come over and whispered rather then literally scream at my brother. I know maybe she meant no harmful intentions but we still felt very uncomfortable. Really sad we won’t be comfortable going back, we’ve come to Oregon every year since 2014 and we really honestly loved that store, it was a must to stop at. I’d still recommend you go, they have really cool things! But for us it’s a no. All in all just don’t take pictures, I guess I should have told my brother beforehand but still, she made him cry after we...
Read moreThe store is absolutely lovely! But the woman at the counter asked me about a necklace I took interest in and I told her I changed my mind about purchasing it. Me and my friend left the store after my friend bought his items there. She glared at me the whole time. We entered another store about five doors down and I was browsing when the same woman comes through the door and proceeds to tell me "we looked everywhere but cannot seem to find that necklace" very angrily and in front of the lovely owner of the new store I was in. She had literally followed me here. So I had to follow this woman back to her store. She made it inside before me and I walked straight to where I left the necklace and showed her exactly where I left it. She was already on the phone with who I believe to be authorities as she was clearly accusing me of being a thief. So she simply takes the necklace out of my hand and marches away, phone still up to her ear. I was so angry that I just left the shop. A man who I believe to be her husband apologized to me for that so I guess there's that positive. I just felt so awful because it was almost like I just gave her that vibe that I was some kind of thief. She really made me feel like a low, ugly person who stole from others. It was a downright...
Read moreMy husband and friends and I were in Lincoln City for two reasons: the men were there for poker and my girlfriend and I were there to hit all of the crystal and metaphysical shops! Our first stop on the trip was The Cheeky Cauldron so we parked up the street, right in front of 101 Inspirations. My witchy jaw dropped upon seeing all of the cauldrons, crystals, and candles in the window. I was so excited about it I could barely make it through lunch and practically ran back up the street to start my shopping spree. I didn't even make it past that front corner of the shop for fear of blowing my entire trip budget on my first stop! While waiting for my friend to complete her purchase I did see a collection of pretty fabulous metal body guitars as well. I would love to get back there and check out more of the store! They had plenty of the items on my list, only issue I had is I think the Rose of Jericho I purchased might be dead but I bought plenty of other fabulous items including a few crystals, the Tarot for Kids deck for my daughter, and incense. The owners were so friendly and knowledgeable. I highly...
