Hollywood / Western Station – The Gateway to East Hollywood Adventures 🌴🎬 As a travel blogger and tour guide, I’ve explored almost every corner of Los Angeles — and the Hollywood / Western Station is one of those underrated gems that blends everyday city hustle with the magic of Hollywood energy. 🚉✨ The moment you step out of this Metro stop, you’re surrounded by authentic East Hollywood vibes — palm trees swaying overhead, colorful murals on every wall, and a mix of cultures that makes this part of L.A. so special. It’s not just a stop — it’s a starting point for adventure. From here, you can grab your friends and walk to Thai Town, one of the best spots in L.A. for late-night food runs. Whether you’re craving pad see ew, mango sticky rice, or some bubble tea, this neighborhood has you covered. A few blocks over, you’ll find vintage shops, cozy cafés, and local bakeries with that true “hidden L.A.” feel. If you’re into art and film, take a quick ride or stroll toward Hollywood Boulevard — where you can visit the Walk of Fame, check out the Hollywood Pantages Theatre, or just people-watch as street performers bring the area to life. 🎭🎥 One of my favorite parts of the scenery here is the contrast — classic Hollywood architecture meets modern murals and diverse street life. It’s a perfect area for photographers, vloggers, and anyone who loves capturing raw city energy. You can literally hop off the train, walk a few minutes, and feel like you’ve entered a movie scene. 🎞️📸 For friends exploring together, this station connects you to everything fun and spontaneous — from karaoke nights and rooftop views to cultural eats and thrift store finds. You never know what you’ll stumble upon. So whether you’re a tourist wanting to see the real side of Hollywood or a local rediscovering your city, Hollywood / Western Station is a must-visit hub that brings the adventure right to your feet. 🚇 Pro tip: Come during golden hour. The sunset reflections on the nearby buildings with palm trees in the background are absolutely breathtaking. If you’re visiting Los Angeles and looking for a true East Hollywood experience, the Hollywood / Western Metro Station is the perfect starting point. As a travel blogger and local guide, I love how this stop connects you to some of the most walkable, photo-worthy, and culture-rich attractions in L.A. Step outside the station and you’ll instantly feel the real Hollywood energy — palm-lined streets, colorful murals, and the buzz of local life. This neighborhood blends old-school movie history with global flavor. You’re just a few minutes away from: 🎭 Hollywood Walk of Fame – Easily accessible by Metro or a quick ride. Walk among the stars and snap those iconic photos. 🎬 Pantages Theatre – A must-see for Broadway lovers, only one stop away. The art deco design and live performances make it a true Hollywood landmark. 🍜 Thai Town – Right next door! Explore authentic Thai restaurants, markets, and dessert spots that make this area famous worldwide. ☕ Local Cafés & Vintage Shops – Around Hollywood Blvd and Western Ave, you’ll find cozy coffee spots, vinyl stores, and thrift boutiques that capture the creative side of East Hollywood. 🌇 Griffith Observatory & Hollywood Sign Views – A short ride or drive away, you can hike or catch sunset views that overlook the city and iconic sign. What I love most about this area is how easy it is to explore with friends. You can hop off the Metro, grab food from a family-owned restaurant, walk a few blocks to discover murals, then end the day watching the skyline glow from a rooftop nearby. Pro Tip: Visit around golden hour for the best photos — the sunlight hits the palm trees and colorful storefronts perfectly. Whether you’re a first-time tourist or a local rediscovering L.A., Hollywood / Western Station is one of the best-kept secrets for spontaneous fun, great food, and authentic culture. 🚇✨

Elevators are out of service on a regular basis at this Metro Red Line station. At times escalators are out of service as well. Here is a picture of the Street Level elevator, which is on Hollywood Blvd, East of the South East corner of The Hollywood and Western intersection.

So dirty! You can’t even sit here. Because someone already peed there. There so many homeless people who smell snd you can’t stand near by. The entrance for dirty people must be prohibited

Just another station on the red line now known as The B line. Is train and its stations suffer from easy access from any of the hospitals in town resulting in many homeless and many mental health homeless gathering at these locations.. Metro does the best that they can in providing security and keeping the constant flow of humanity moving while protecting the civil rights of the "sick" individuals involved and trying very hard in not offending those people needing attention. A very difficult task when you...
