I’m leaving this review based on an incident that occurred at this specific ROSE location. The experience I had was extremely disappointing due to the poor customer service I received. What stood out the most was the lack of professionalism and care shown by the staff—particularly by the store manager, Julissa.
I’m not someone who typically writes negative reviews. I’m a business owner myself, running a successful bakery café in the heart of Beverly Hills, and I know what it means to serve customers with care and respect—even after a long day. But the treatment I received here was simply unacceptable.
I was already shopping inside the store with one cart in hand, and I had gathered a large number of items—many of which I was carrying in my other hand. It was a big shopping trip, totaling nearly a thousand dollars. As I continued through the store, I realized I needed a second cart and kindly asked a staff member for one. Instead of offering to help, she responded by loudly repeating that the store was about to close and they would no longer be able to assist customers—a message she had already been shouting every few minutes over the past hour, in a tone that felt more annoyed than informative.
I reassured her that I was heading to the register and just needed a second cart to manage the items. Eventually, she brought one—but it had used, wet napkins inside and was clearly unsanitary. I politely asked if I could have a different one, pointing out the wipes. Her response? “It’s just plastic inside,” followed by, “Cleaning happens in the morning.” There was no concern, no apology—just a rude, dismissive attitude.
In the end, it wasn’t her but the kind security staff at the door who noticed the situation and brought me a clean cart so I could check out.
I’ve never had an experience quite like this. To be a customer with heavy items, making a large purchase, and simply asking for basic assistance—only to be treated with such disrespect and indifference—was shocking. It was not only unprofessional but completely against the standard of service any store should offer.
Unfortunately, because of this unforgettable experience, I won’t be returning. I live nearby, and this could have easily been my go-to for future shopping, but I’ll now take my business elsewhere.
I hope this feedback is taken seriously. Julissa should receive proper training on how to speak with and assist customers. Customer service is what builds—or breaks—a brand, and this kind of behavior pushes people away. my shopping date was April...
Read moreWhen you enter the store, they asked you to stand in a cordoned off area for 10 seconds " to make sure the checkout line is shorter" meanwhile, it's very clear that this does nothing to cut down the checkout line, but what they are doing is getting a really good view of you from their security camera that's pointed right at the front door as you enter. I don't know if they're using facial recognition software, or if they're just getting a look at everybody's faces before they enter the store, but it's really creepy.
Once inside, it seems that they have now instituted a policy where they have put little security tags on every single item in the store that make a loud beeping sound when someone so much as picks up the item to look at it. It was like walking into a field of cicadas as the never ending beeping was heard throughout the store from thousands of security tags that were all going off. The very small number of staff members that were in the store were doing nothing about these security tags going off and seemed perfectly content to let them beep forever.
Once I arrived at the checkout, the checkout line was insanely long as there was only one person at the register. Eventually a manager came over who had previously just been standing near the door, staring off into space, and opened up a second register. When I complain to him about my experience at the store, he said " That's nice, next!" I then had to ask him for my receipt because he didn't seem interested in giving it to me.
This store has become a complete nightmare. Everyone should avoid it. Hopefully it will close down soon and something better will...
Read moreThis Store is JOKE!!!!! By far the WORST Ross I’ve ever been to. If I could rate this store a ZERO I would. Like why is there 2 cashiers and a line of over 50 people. Not everyone has time to be in a line for over an HOUR. Don’t get me started on the MANAGERS… they are disrespectful rude and unprofessional and let’s not forget about the STORE MANAGER he’s a big guy and he goes by the name of Edgar and let me Tell you he could CARE LESS about the customers complaints and he just stands there and watches shoplifters just walk out the door and he laughs !!!! Like what is so funny about people robbing the store. For a store manager he is not doing his job this store is alwaysss a mess the cashiers are slow and have a nasty attitude and they don’t have public bathrooms!! Lastly the Store prevention Associates in the front are a joke. What are they there for ? All they do is talk on the walkie, follow suspected shoplifters around and watch them walk out with all the merchandise. Like they get paid to stand there and greet and most of the time they don’t greet or aren’t paying attention because they are too busy on the computer. I’ve wasted my time and money coming to this store many times and nothing changes. Goodluck walking into this store you never know what...
