Discovering a Hidden Gem of Thai Cuisine in Downtown 🥭

Update review: I recently dined at Thai Patio and had a wonderful experience. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, with tasteful decor and comfortable seating. The menu offered a great variety of traditional Thai dishes, each bursting with authentic flavors. I particularly enjoyed the Fried Egg Rolls and Drunken Noodles with beef, both cooked to perfection. The staff was friendly and attentive, ensuring we had everything we needed. Overall, it was a delightful meal, and I highly recommend Thai Patio for anyone craving delicious Thai cuisine. —————————————————————— First time eating here, we ordered sampler platter & chicken satay to start and they were really good. For main course i got fried filet fish basil (it was overly salty) and my friend had green curry chicken (it was very good). We were there around 8pm and it was pretty busy so basically no service at all...the waitress just took the order & dropped the check (after asking many times for the check) never checked our table whether everything was right or not. Since the food was pretty close to authentic thai food, i would come back to try something else on the menu.

Came here today and the food is good but the service wasn't good. They served us halfway water and weren't filled up. They only check on us once. They were under staff. The server walk pass by us multiple time and made eye contact with us but walk away knowing we needed her. One of the server was wearing a green top today. She looked like a manager instead of a server. But I may be wrong. My friend pay the bill and left a 5 dollar tip. Due to bad service we still tip. The server in the green. Shirt came out halfway to pull my friend on the side and ask why we only tip 5 dollar. She ask if the food wasn't good. My friend said the food was good. She did spilled half of our papaya sauce when she brought our food to the table, infront of us. The server had the audacity to ask us to give her 15 dollar tip. I was so shocked because by they have bad service and she expected us to give her 15 dollar tip? My friend is nice and decided to tip her regardless the bad service. By california state law, you as the customer can refuse to tip or ask the restaurant to remove the gratuity. She basically ask for a tip that she didn't deserve at all. At least we still tip her something. I mean we could of just tip her and left without pay the bill. It was so uncomfortable, and she was desperate to the point where she beg us for tip. I didn't like how she made us feel and tried to guilt trip us into giving her more money for tip.

Came here with my Thai wife to eat some Thai food after living in Thailand for three years and experiencing all Thai cuisine from Up North to Central to Southern Thailand I would give this restaurant a one star they’re Thai boat noodle tasted like water with no flavor their rad na also tasted watered down, no flavor do not go here and waste your money . I have been to many Thai restaurants in LA and New York City that provide excellent Thai food that is almost 100% similar to what you would find in Thailand minus a couple of ingredients that are very hard to find in the United States but these restaurants make it up with local ingredients that save the dish. I’m very disappointed in this place, you’re in Thai town the food should be at its perfection a quick note to the restaurant please improve your service and try to make the food more tasty.

Located in Thai Town of Los Angeles. Went here for lunch. 1st if all, portions were huge compared to typical Thai restaurants in America. Yes, I’ve eaten at hundreds of Thai restaurants in various states. Prices were reasonable. Service was quick & attentive. Lastly foods were very good. Our favor was the Nam Tok beef salad. The grilled beef was good, but the Nam Tok was better with the salad dressing & toasted rice powder & fresh basil. The Pad See Ewe with fried tofu was on point, thick fried tofu was unique. Tom Kha with chicken soup was very good due to the flavorful & aromatic broth. The chicken meat & mushrooms were OK. The eggplant with pork was tasty & cooked perfectly, not overdone. Overall very satisfying. 2 thumbs up.

Great place if you like Thai food. Very generous portions and the food comes in fast. Restaurant itself isn't the sexiest place (wouldn't go here on a date night) but the food and service is great! I recommend to try the fried shrimps filled with ground chicken, served with a chili sauce. The green curry (no 53) is great! Really nice flavors. Would be even better with better veggies, such as eggplants, onion and more. (Comes with bell pepper, bamboo sprouts and green beans). But still really good! Definitely going back for the food and service. Spicy fried rice is delish, and we tried it with shrimps. Really good. And so much so you can easily split it in 3 portions.
