As I ascended to the rooftop, the air crackled with an atmosphere of exclusivity. The setting was reminiscent of an intimate gathering, where only a select few were privy to the enchanting world that awaited them. The twinkling lights, the cozy seating arrangements, and the breathtaking views of the city skyline added to the sense of grandeur and anticipation. Read moreMe and my lady went to see Spirited Away last night. We decided to do the valet parking at the hotel where the cinema is located, since reviews for the parking lot across the street reported numerous break-ins. So I pull up to the valet and there isn't anyone to be found, so I decided to drive ahead to find someone... a man shouts for me as I pull into a spot so I can make a U-turn, and I tell him why I'm here and I need valet parking. All this man says is "go to the color" and just wanders off... like what the hell does go to the color mean?? So after I left, drove around the block and came back, I just parked near the entrance and turned on my hazzards and that seemed to work. I'm not even kidding there was ZERO indication where to valet park and nobody was at their post. Anyways, concessions has good selection, popcorn was just okay, our Japanese movie started out the first minute without subtitle because the projector needed adjusting. The loveseats are comfortable unless your pillow isn't quite adjusted right. I didn't want to obstruct the view of the people behind me or I would've fixed it. Overall was a really nice experience, good choice using headphones for the movie since the surrounding noises are of people in muscle cars trying to flex all night and the LAPD choppers buzzing around. I'd go again if I wasn't moving to...
Read moreI came here for a date night with my girlfriend and we both had a great time.
There are many parking lots in the area in the area and we were able to park in one that was $6, but if you're lucky you could also try looking for street parking.
We went up to the rooftop and got our wristbands, blankets, headphones, our bottomless popcorn. They had seasonings out to put on your popcorn which was nice. The popcorn was good but a little stale.
The "love seats" for that night were sold out so we had to purchase the single seats. We found seating in the front row because we thought the view was the best from there. They had a food vendor and bartender out in the seating area but we didn't try anything from either, so I can't comment on that. They also had a cute photo booth area so we took some fun pictures!
The movie didn't start until 10 pm even though it said 9:45 pm. Overall it was nice. The projector had good visibility and the sound from the headphones was perfect. The chairs did get a little uncomfortable after sitting in them for a long time. A pillow or something would have been nice.
This is the perfect place to come on a date or with a friend. The fact that they have a student discount is a big plus. I would...
