I visited this location twice last week on Tuesday and Wednesday and cannot believe the way I was treated. Walking in, I noticed that I was not greeted or welcomed. I met with a cold stare from the cashier. This did not sit well with me because I noticed that other customers were greeted and met with a smile. I also noticed I was being followed around but I tried to disregard it and continued my shopping. When asking another associate for dog harnesses, the aisle they were in were too narrow to place a cart, so I parked it off to the side with my dog inside. Shortly after returning to the aisle my dog and cart should have been, it was not there. I panicked because I thought someone stole my dog. After wandering through a few aisles, I was able to find my cart. This made very uncomfortable because the associate that moved my dog saw me and said nothing and watched me wander aisles until I asked. By now I am really upset so I get ready to checkout. I asked to speak to the manager, and surprisingly it was the same associate that moved my cart that had my dog in it without telling me. She seemed very nonchalant and annoyed that I was giving her feedback about my uncomfortable experience and how I felt profiled. She didn't even offer an apology. The next day I went back to return the harness and the gentleman at the register looked at me as I walked in and rolled his eyes. There were 2 customers in front of me, so I noticed he told them that he could help the next customer with a smile. When it was my turn, he threw up two of his fingers to signal me over. He did not talk to me at all during the transaction, and during my refund he balled my receipt/money up while shoving it in my hand. I have never felt more disrespected and discriminated against. As someone who has shopped with Petco and have been a Pals member for decades, I have never had an experience so unsettling. I will never visit this...
Read moreI have always come to this place for my pets. Last Tuesday, even though the assistants were nice and sweet, I had a really bad experience with Dr. Jayden Kim. First, the vet seemed bored and uninterested in what he was doing. He didn't even greet or say hello to my pets before injections and he directly put injections. My pets have social anxiety and he was just treating my pets with no empathy. Although my first dog was peacefully injected, the second one looked worried. So, she struggled and shouted during the injection and the vet was just putting the needle in instead of making the dog calm down. So, my dog's hand was bleeding and the vet was just shouting at me about what I should have done during the injection. I mean he even didn't mention any instruction and then he scolded me with his loud voice. The worst part was he knocked on my dog's head three times aggressively. This is animal abuse and seeing my dog being violently treated as a pet parent was so traumatic. I made a complaint about the vet through a phone call and I haven't heard a single explanation from the team over 48 hrs. I paid a high fee just for the injections and the service I got was so unbelievable. I still have an appointment for the rabies and don't want the service if it is the same vet who's unprofessional and rude. Money was wasted on the...
Read moreMy day was already going bad because my dogs grooming appointment got canceled in la brea because it was not communicated to me that my dog didnât get his rabies shot on his last visit in Firestone even though I paid for it in advance. So that same day after having my appointment canceled, I booked an appointment at the location on Hope St closer to my house for him to get it taken care of. For Dr. Denise Hall to question me as if Iâm a child about my pet. She asked what type of food does he eat and I said i think Merrick and began to look it up in my phone and her first remark was âyou donât know,â with an attitude. Then she commented on how long his nails was and then asked me in the same tone âIs this your first baby? Her assistant had know where this was going because she immediately started explaining it a lot better to why my dog needs his nails clipped every two weeks and thatâs when I explain to her the issue of my grooming appointment getting canceled that morning. The way I left that place so upset is ridiculous. It doesnât matter how many years you have under your belt you need to learn how to talk to people especially if you donât know whatâs going on. She didnât even care to ask before running at the mouth....
