Maui Eldorado K202:
My husband and I visited Hawaii for the first time, and we cannot rave enough about how much we enjoyed it there. We were on our honeymoon, and the Maui Eldorado, and especially the property manager, Linda, made it a very special trip for us. Linda was very quick to reply to all of our emails/messages to answer our questions, and it felt like she was our personal concierge. She was very accommodating and kind to us. She wanted to make sure that we were enjoying our stay and kept in contact with us.
We arrived on a late flight so we had to check in with the security guard. He was welcoming, kind, and took us to our rooms. When we walked in, we noticed all the little extra touches such as the banana loaves with a personalized note for us, champagne that our friend arranged (hand-picked by Linda, which was so delicious), and cute decor. The rooms were very spacious, and the view from the suite was spectacular. We loved spending our mornings and some of our evenings on the lanai while sipping coffee and eating breakfast, or having some beer/wine with our steak dinner. We did a grocery run to Costco on the first day and bought some steak, and we grilled on the bbq, which was right next to the pool area. Our suite was right next to the front desk, parking, pool, and bbq area, and it was so convenient. It was about a 5-10 min walk to the Ka'anapali beach and very close to the surrounding beaches (Black Rock, Airport, etc.). There was free shuttle service between 9:30am-5:30pm from the front desk area to/from the beach. The beach cabana had beach towels and chairs to borrow. We spent the day on the beaches and used the swimming pool, which was nicely lit in the evening. The hot tub was very relaxing. The kitchen was fully stocked with all kinds of condiments and spices for cooking. They provided the necessities for the 2 bathrooms such as shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hair dryer, and lots of towels. They had beach gear such as towels, umbrellas, body boards, and chairs. Having an in-suite washer/dryer was very convenient.
We checked in the following morning and received some information about activities and tours around the island. One of our favorite activities was snorkelling. The activities/information desk gave us a coupon so we went to the snorkel shop, which was a 5-min walk from our place, and rented some snorkel gear. The one-time rental fee was good for our whole stay, which was awesome, so make sure to visit the activities desk by the front desk!
We ran into some of our neighbors, who were Maui regulars. They said that they tried a few other places before but they have been coming to the Maui Eldorado every year since they discovered it because it's their favorite spot. The location is prime vacation real estate - very central and convenient.
We read the one negative review that someone left about the noise coming from the swimming pool/parking lot, but we didn't notice it at all. We loved being close to the amenities and would stay in this suite again!
The next time we visit Maui, we will definitely book through Linda rather than through another hotel chain/channel and stay at the Maui Eldorado again because of the personal and...
Read moreWe have been coming to the Maui Eldorado since 1979, and have stayed in various suites over the years. We have tried all the configurations, but love the studios best now for just my wife and I. The last 5 years we have stayed in K206, and it is our new favourite. It has recently been reburbished and just feels so luxurious and Hawaiian 🌺. The kitchen is equipped for gourmet cooking and the bathroom stocked with lovely new towels. A new flat screen T.V. And 2 very comfy overstuffed chairs and a chesterfield make for comfortable lounging. The artwork is tasteful and from Maui artists. The views from the spacious lanai are incredible, 270’, and unobstructed to the ocean and the cabana on the beach. We watch the whales and the glorious sunsets every night. I also use my Google star map later in the evening to identify the constellations from the expansive night sky. The grounds and walks of the Eldorado complex are beautifully maintained and the walk to the beach cabana is easygoing. The main large pool and deckcomplex with BBQs and shuffleboard were recently renovated and are awesome, with comfortable lounges and sun umbrellas. There are 2 other pools scattered in the complex. We enjoy the small Turtle Pool to sunbath and read on the blustery days. The front desk staff are very friendly and accommodating, as is the guest host/hostess who can arrange tours of the many island activities. We’ve booked our whale watching trips, and Lanai cruises with them. And there is a handy shop for easy takeaway meals and items you may run out of, in the front reception area. We love the central location of the Maui Eldorado and walk to the Whalers Village shopping centre almost daily, for exercise and many evenings for wonderful oceanfront dining. And there’s a free Kaanapali Trolley to get you home if you’re overweighted from shopping. All in all, the Maui Eldorado has been our home away from home for all these reasons. J. and W....
Read moreThe condo had everything you could need plus more such as tupperware, cutting board, knives, scissors, chip clips, utensils, blender, microwave, full sized fridge, blow dryer and a fantastic coffee maker that I used every day. I have a Keurig at home but now I want this same coffee maker haha. There were coffee filters, glassware and even an installed filtered water tap thing in the sink so no need to buy bottled water from the store. There was even an ice maker in the freezer. It was so nice having a washer/dryer and dishwasher. This condo was so convenient, modern, clean and felt like a home away from home. Also the bed was really comfortable and that’s a really good compliment coming from me as I’m very hard to please when it comes to a mattress. I have a tempur-pedic at home if that’s useful info. My boyfriend and I were in A210 and would definitely stay here again. Make sure to book directly so you can get a specific condo that you choose. The place is a bit spread out but they have golf carts that will pick you up really quickly and was very easy to use. Considering we could use their golf cart service to get around, I felt like it was shorter walk times getting around compared to staying at a resort which is really handy when you’re carrying a lot of stuff. We loved the beach cabana and really enjoyed bringing our lunch and drinks to store in the cabana fridge. Having clean bathrooms was amazing also.
Parking was very easy and I loved the location as we were able to easily walk to whalers village. There’s a tram that runs also but it was a really nice walk for my boyfriend and I. Lots of really great restaurants...
