ARC Reef (Atlantic Reef Conservation) — Local services in Miami Beach

I am a newbie to saltwater and starting off with a Biocube. I purchased the Purple Helix and waited for the 10 weeks to pass. Exactly when I expected to see my purple spots, they came. I was thrilled. Then my purple spots turned into purple hair algae. Within a week or so my tank was filled with flowing deep purple hairy algae. I contacted ARC and they were going to have someone contact me from their team. No call back. After waiting a week with this infestation blooming, I tried again. Got a Tom to answer and he wanted to see photos. Sent photos, no response. Had to start researching my problem on my own. This was my first problem I ever had with my tank in a year since I started it. After several attempts, they finally sent me a message that the algae was the same color as the Helix but it should not be there. They said they would consult and get back to me. Then that was it. No contact even after repeated attempts to get them to respond. Calls, texts and emails and nothing. They totally ghosted me. So I turned my lights off for 3 days and got rid of 95% of it but I’m still struggling. I wish I never heard of purple helix or ARC. They are probably fine for experienced reef tankers but if you want help from them after the sale, forget it. I might be wrong but they gave my tank a lot more than purple helix and now I’m left trying to...

A+ product and customer service. Experienced a snafu with shipping, but Tom was quick to respond, and quick to reship. Estimated delivery time was spot on (when everything went the way it should). The rock is exactly as described, teeming with life, and im sure there is much more to find. So far there have been several feather dusters identified, many many clams (some so encrusted they look like the rock until they open). Corralline alge everywhere, red, pink, purple and orange. Yellow and red sponges everywhere. one snail and one crab survived the trip (unfortunately about 5 crabs died enroute. A few macro algaes here or there, and some encrusting corals, and way more to be identified. rock sizes were perfect, very porous with a good variety of hiding places ranging from micro to baseball sized. i purchased the premium and it was worth every penny...

To sum up everything, (A.R.C) Atlantic reef conservation, more like AWESOME, RELIABLE and CUSTOMER FRIENDLY. This is an amazing group of individuals that cares about our reefs and the extension/preservation of different species of aquatic life. The work that is done by this group is far beyond amazing due to their ability to replace every pound of live rock taken out of the ocean, with ten pounds when they harvest. This is becoming a far better method to creating an underwater world for the superstars of our ocean, the fish, corals and other undiscovered species of life.
