Wynwood Tailors — Local services in Miami

When we were looking for a custom tailored suit for my daughter's wedding, we had a really hard time finding companies in Florida that were able to tailor suits for women that weren't too masculine or too feminine. Basically - there were none. Fortunately, we happened upon Wynwood Tailors when we were looking for a wedding dress for my daughter in love through their sister company "The Bridal Project" (their dresses are to die for by the way - absolutely gorgeous) and found out they were launching their women's line in March 2023! We set an appointment immediately. Since Wynwood Tailors women's line is new, we were able to meet with Wynwood's master tailor who came here from Canada to help launch the new line. He was spectacular and so passionate about what he does. I wanted to kiss his face, but I wasn't sure how he'd feel about that, so I restrained. Wynwood Tailors' idea to bring a women's suit line to the market which caters to those women who do not feel comfortable in men's suits (figures do not conform well) nor women's suits (too feminine) is such a blessing to our family. The tailors at Wynwood Tailors made us feel so welcome and they were very knowledgeable about the combination of their fabrics, linings, buttons and the fit of each type of suit and shirt. It was such a amazing and moving experience. My daughter was so nervous about finding a suit for her wedding purely due to the fit given that there really aren't options available for women who are "right down the middle" with their style choice (not masculine, not feminine) and most tailors only know how to measure for men OR women (not for someone who wants something in between). After her appointment, she was so excited. As a mother, there is no amount of money that can purchase the immense happiness you feel when you know your child's heart is at peace. We are truly blessed to have found Wynwood Tailors. They are a joy to work with and we are on the edge of our seats anticipating the sight of the final product. Wynwood Tailors even makes their own custom shoes! We intend to purchase shoes from them as well in order to complete her wedding day ensemble. It really means so much to us to have found you.

Update 2/27/2024 - The final product came in and we are so pleased. My daughter gained a little weight after the first fitting (of which she is losing now), so the suit was a tad bit too fitted. We ordered some custom shoes which will be arriving soon as well. The owners are very responsive by text AND to top it off the final fitting alterations only take an hour or two? Insane! How great is that? Especially since we live 4 hours away. She is so excited for her final...

Rodrigo and Yulia are excellent designers not just of suits, but the experience of buying one. We enjoyed meeting with them, spending time looking at fabrics -- and fits, and buttons, and lapel choices and shirt collars and breaks and pleats -- and feeling both guided and also listened to. It was like chatting with old friends! Their studio is airy, stylish, and they are ready with a cocktail, coffee or water as well.

For men, it is a transformative moment when you put on a suit that fits exactly, and only, you. It is a type of self love that everyone deserves to know. You will learn along the way, and you will never try to buy a suit at Men's Wearhouse again. It was a new experience, and a worthwhile one guided by these two.

Women are just as welcome as men, and can have blouses made out of beautiful, unique Italian silks and linens as well as trousers, skirts, and suit jackets that use cuts for women. Of course you will spend for this service and having clothes made to suit your exact body, but I promise it is much cheaper than the therapy that is required after trying to contort yourself into clothing that could never fit you off the rack in a horrible, badly lit fitting room. (And you will probably spend the same amount over the months and years trying to find even one pair of pants that fits you correctly.)
