DICK'S Sporting Goods — Local services in Mooresville

This used to be a pretty good place with decent sales help. Over the past 5 years, we have purchased several thousands of dollars of shotshells for trap/skeet shooting.

We were in there a few weeks ago. Guy behind the counter in firearms couldn't be bothered to stand up, didn't ask if we need help, would hardly look at us, seemed annoyed that we were talking to him.

Refused our raincheck on ammo we've been waiting a year for (yes, a year), and did everything attitude wise to convey the message "go away and never come back, you are bothering me".

With the huge Gander Mountain having moved in 1/2 mile up the road, it's almost like they are trying to put themselves out of business.

We'll go back there in 6 months, hopefully that guy is gone and things have returned to normal. In the meantime, we'll be shopping at Gander Mountain and mail ordering...

Called to see if they do c02 refills and was told yes. Then I explained that I have a 5lb cyclinder and wanted to make sure they can do it. I was placed on hold then when he returned he said yes we can do it. Once I arrived the guy at the lodge told me they cant fill anything over 24oz. I explained to him that his employee told me differently on the phone and he said sorry we will have to train him better. No compensation for my time was offered and honestly I dont think the manager if thats what he was ...really cared. It sucks to waste time let alone gas on a trip like that. I understand people make mistakes but what was he doing when he checked and why was no compensation offered? Doubt I will go back to this store unless...
