My first time experience with this place and I reeeaalllly wish I would have read the reviews before a complete waste of time....
I brought in numerous items (one full tote and one full bag) that are currently in style, in perfect condition, are name brand items, some with tags still on it... and all for spring and summer. It took a lot of time and effort to get a large tote and a large bag full of clothes together to bring in only to have you guys only purchase 10 of the items at an extremely low price. You offered $4 for Lulu's dress that I purchased brand new for $58 only a couple of months ago, that is in perfect condition that I absolutely had to decline.
This was an absolute waste of time and very confusing as to why the majority of the items were turned away when 90% of the items are for "young adult" styles. Numerous Lulu's dresses, Hollister shirts, Forever21 shirts, Altard State dresses, Old Navy clothing (every item for Spring & Summer). Looking at what's currently available in the store - what I was offering are WAY better looking and in better shape!? It makes zero sense. Not to mention when I brought in my items I was told that they would be complete in about an hour. Then was asked if I wanted to wait or come back. I had another errand to run and since it was going to take an hour, I told them I would come back. After 2.5 hours had elapsed and I still hadn't heard back I called to get an update. I was then informed that since I left my items hadn't even been looked at and wouldn't be until closer to 7... No one told me that people who wait get priority and was under the impression it would be completed in an hour. Super unprofessional. So I drove back to the store and waited for them to get through my items which no way in hell the girl actually looked at all the items I brought in with the amount of time lapsed from the time I got there and the time they called me to the counter. I then told the brunette girl at the counter that I needed to look at the items to make sure which were selected so that I could remove them from postings that I had online. She seemed really aggravated by that. And then when I told her that I needed to know how much they were offering for some of the items again, she seemed frustrated by that and did not like that. I declined some of the offers. It's like she was absolutely bothered by that. Is the live look? I'm sorry that she was having a crap day and they were really really busy but that does not mean to treat your brand new sellers in such a manner to where they never want to come back.
I honestly won't waste my time with this place again. I've heard Plato's closet is much better organized, maybe I'll give them a go or just stick to selling my items on Mercari. I get MUCH MORE for them that way, even with them marked down to a super...
Read moreWORST customer service Iâve ever experienced from the âteam leadâ and of course his behavior was backed up by the âmanagerâ. My husband and I love Uptown and we try to go into one anytime we are near one. Today we came in, my husband was told by two separate employees that ALL RED TAG ITEMS are $1. So he finds a couple pairs of shoes with red tags and we go to check out. The âteam leadâ says only clothing items with red tags are $1. My husband tells the guy that he was told by two different people it was all red tag items to which the employee says ânope. Clothing only. They just forgot to say thatâ. My husband then asks if there is a manager or someone else he can speak to and is told thereâs no one else and thatâs that. Super rude, super spastic, and clearly lacks any kind of âteam leadâ capabilities. At this point he should have been able to de-escalate the issue but instead chose to be rude and escalate it further and told us to leave âhisâ store and he was refusing service. Another employee asked my husband to come over to the end and talk to him and while he did that the team lead decided to stare at me, so I told him he needed to relax. He yelled at me telling me to relax and leave his store. At this point my husband came over and told him not to talk to me and if there was a problem they could take it outside. Another shopper called the cops saying my husband charged at the employee, which he didnât (two other employees backed up the fact that he didnât charge at anyone). So we waited for the police, spoke with them about what happened, and were informed the manager wanted us to leave the store (without even speaking to us). So I guess I see where the team lead gets his management skills from. Wonât ever be back, and will be reaching out to corporate to inform them of the terrible ran store. I think the other reviews on here about the terrible customer service should be a...
Read moreThe owner of this consignment shop is absolutely snooty and disrespectful, and her items are WAY over priced! I can buy new stuff for the same price that she has her used items priced for.
And as far as your mask mandate... get over yourself. I HIGHLY doubt that hardly any of the young staff members wear them outside of your store when theyâre not working. Not to mention the virus (that isnât even as deadly as the media makes it to be) is not spread just by not wearing a mask, it is also spread by touching surfaces, so unless you plan on wearing gloves, or asking your staff and customers to wear gloves and a bubble suit before they decide to shop in your overly priced store, youâre not doing anyone any favors by asking people to wear a mask. MASKS DO NOT STOP THE SPREAD OF CORONA, the Flu, or any other respiratory illness when itâs not just spread via airborne spores. I recommend you educate yourself more and your staff on the spread of the Corona virus vs the spread of the seasonal flu, and that you stop being snooty and disrespectful to customers that might spend their hard earned money on your expensive items. Being respectful when youâre trying to deliver a message to someone is also something you need to work on as well. Youâre old enough to know how to address an adult and how to properly handle situations when someone isnât following your less than effective mask mandate.
Actually, I wasnât disrespectful to anyone in your store, and PLEASE do not worry, I will NEVER come back to your store. I would rather spend my hard earned money where itâs appreciated. Also, you were rude to me. I am so sorry you are trying to paint a good picture of your nature, but you are sadly mistaken and I am calling you like you acted... RUDE, SNOOTY, and...
