The stairs to the street are on the southwest (downtown) end of the train. Local and express trains stop here. Last place where N&D run the same line. Downtown and uptown tracks are both accessible from within the station without having to use another swipe. No elevators, but people will usually help you up and down the short flight of stairs to get to the tracks and similarly short flight of stairs up to the street. Read moreThis was one of the first train stations in Brooklyn to get the large touchscreen train information displays. In fact it had two of them for a few months.
It was a great step forward in making riders comfortable knowing the status of the many trains that travel through the station.
We are back to not having any infiormatiin systems and everything about the station is getting worse.
