I hesitate to write this only because I'd prefer to keep Tom all to myself! This little salon in the west village is an absolute gem. Unlike those giant salons where you get passed off from person to person - you quickly feel like family at Allure 13.

Furthermore, Tom is an absolute genius with my hair. Especially when it comes to color! I have been getting my hair done by Tom for more than 5 years (maybe longer?) and I am always thrilled with the result.

My latest visit was really the best to date. As I'm currently living in Germany I don't get to see him as often as I would like. Which means I cause my own mini hair disasters on the regular. Entering the salon with shoulder length, slightly greenish hair and leaving with a warm rich brown town and hair down the middle of my back! That's right, we made a game time decision to add hair extensions! I mean - any other salon would have sent me away to make an appointment for weeks later.

I can’t believe I just discovered Allure13… I’ve lived in the West Village for 5 years, and didnt know the cutest salon with amazing stylists was waiting for me just around the corner. For all my NYC blonde girlies — run, don’t walk to see Eddie. It was my first time seeing him and I am obsessed with my color. After a very thoughtful consultation, I shared a few inspo pics. He’s truly an artist. His work exceeded expectations and my color is even more beautiful than the inspo pics. While he took the time to get to know me / my hair, he’s also super efficient when you’re in the chair. The cherry on top is his warm, bright energy.
