I am currently enrolled in the Esthetics program here at American Beauty Institute. I’m satisfied with the course so far. The classes are extremely flexible, which allows me to work my regular job. This is perfect for people who work, commuters and/or parents, and I believe invites more mature students this way. The instructor is very thorough, understanding and nice, with real world experience to share and very helpful tips during both practice and theory. The classmates are super nice and respectful towards one another, which does not always happen in other schools! Everyone is here to learn. In addition to the course itself, the tuition is more affordable than any other school in NYC (that I have visited) and the location is extremely convenient. We use Dermologica in class, instead of a school branded product, which I believe is better practice. There is enough space and beds for everyone to view/practice on each other, with the instructor close by to help anyone. I’m very happy with my choice so far and feel so comfortable learning here. Honest Review - I attended this school not too long ago for the nail specialist class , and let me say how I’ve learned absolutely nothing ! The only thing I learned to do is apply acrylic and I can’t even do it properly but clearly the school doesn’t care . They’re all about the money ! They claim to teach “PEDICURING,TIP APPLICATION AND DESIGN, GEL NAIL APPLICATIONS,MANICURING,& NAIL ART TECHNIQUE “ but in all reality they don’t . They didn’t even teach the simple things such as manicuring and pedicures!! Why ? The teachers said they don’t do feet ! 🤣 can you believe it ! I’m currently looking for another school to take classes on things that I should already know to do . PLEASE DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY !! I had a wonderful experience at this school from start to finish, the entire journey was flawless and I have no complaints whatsoever. The teacher M.s Yin (I hope I'm spelling her name right if not am sorry)was incredibly knowledgeable, patient and supportive throughout the course making my learning experience enjoyable and engaging.The school's facilities were super nice as well, that's definitely a plus 😁 they also provided a professional and conducive learning environment allowing me and my classmate to practice and perfect our skills, preparing us for a successful career in the industry.
