In 2010 I stumbled upon this secret gem after a horrible haircut left me searching for a place willing to take a walk-in early before facing my office peers. Luba sat me down, salvaged my horrible cut, while reassuring me that my hair would grow back! 6 years later and I'm still faithfully going to Luba. Yes- the place looks like a barber shop. But where else can you find someone willing to squeeze me in when I decide the hair must be cut off immediately? Where else can I find a place that lets me get just a cut for $20 and not leave me feeling judged for not getting a full wash and blow dry? Luba knows hair. And she knows how to make you feel beautiful even if you feel like you look like a wet dog- staring back at you in the mirror. Non Pretentious. Affordable....

BEST HAIRCUT IVE EVER HAD!! I’ve always requested the same haircut, no other barber has ever been able to get it how I wanted UNTIL I MET MARK AT BLUECHIP HAIRCUTTERS!!! I have been going to blue chip for a little over a year now and this place is by far the best value and quality haircut in Lower Manhattan. The owner (Mark) is extremely friendly and gives a great cut. Always enjoy my time here and they have been working even through the difficulties of the pandemic.
