El Toro Mexican Grill is definitely a GEM in the Financial District. I came here once and ever since my first time here, I've come at least twice a week.
If I don't bring lunch to work, You'll find me here on my lunch time. I could even eat the same dish every day and would not make me get tired of eating the same thing cause the food is incredibly delicious, tasteful, perfectly cooked and put together.
I love it here!!!!!!!!! I usually get a Taco Salad, either chicken or steak, BOTH are incredibly delightful. In my opinion the Nachos are THE BOMB, but they are too big for an average person. It is, although, a perfect option for sharing with somebody else.
For those with a PASSIONATE and HIGH LOVE for meat, this is your place. They are DEFINITELY NOT shy AT ALL with MEAT portions, THE BEST PART, in my opinion. I'M A PROTEIN LOVER!!!!!!!!
The staff is lovely, always smiling, always helping you make bad choices as for food. Simple a GREAT atmosphere as a whole!!!!!

Read moreI do not recommend this restaurant. When I went from the moment I arrived, the treatment and customer service was horrible. At first they don't welcome you with anything, not chips, bread, not even a glass of water. I had a question about the menu and the way they clarified everything to me was very ruderom the waitress and the man who brought us the food. They have no manners at all and are not at all cordial. We ordered some chicken fajitas and they came out without guacamole or sour cream. Something basic that the fajitas always bring and if you order it they charge you separately. The food had no flavor at all and the margaritas we ordered had almost no alcohol. When we asked to use the bathroom, at first they refused to give us the keys after we had eaten in the restaurant. We definitely had a very bad time at this restaurant. On our entire trip to NY it was the only place where they treated...
Read moreMy husband and I went here to grab some dinner. The waitress took our order and never came back he didn’t check on us not even one time to ask if we needed anything or to make sure we were enjoying our food. My husband even had to go up to the register and ask for the check. My husband noticed a 20% tip was already included in the bill. My husband stated the he would understand the gratuity if was added because we had a group of five or more people dining in, but again it was just my husband and I. The man replied that they started doing this after covid and there was nothing he could do about it with an attitude. So we paid and just left. We would not have mind giving a tip but the service was poor and the staff was rude. We will never be returning to this restaurant there are too many other good Mexican restaurants in the city that will give better customer service. I do...
