UPDATE: I did go to the UES 67th location and the difference is incredible. I absolutely love that location and will be going there.
I've been checking out different spin classes before choosing a subscription, and sadly this one is an absolute NO. The staff is fine, but that's about it.
First, the scheduling is awful. Don't be fooled by the hours on Google. There are NO classes from 9am to 5:30pm on weekdays. Wednesday is the exception that's even worse - there are NO classes from 7:45am to 5:30pm! It's absurd.
The class itself is also mess. A third of the class barely does anything. Now of course it's not my business what others do, but it's to the point that it's distracting because people have their phones out. There were two people in the very front row with their phones out recording themselves and the people near them. It's not just distracting, but makes people uncomfortable being on camera without permission and probably posted somewhere online.
Looks like I'll still be on the hunt for a class. Luckily this class was free so I didn't...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis place is amazing. After moving to NYC from LA, I've been trying to find one club to add to my fitness routine that spices it up. I've tried various places, and I feel compelled to write a review for CycleBar Nomad due to such positivity there!
I've done spin classes a while ago at my gym, but this is next level. Maybe I'm tardy to the party, but the fact that CycleBar includes cycling shoes is amazing. I don't want to collect more things in my home. The teachers are amazing, the lighting is perfect, and the music is on point! Love the HipHop/House mix. Definitely right up my alley!
Additionally, the staff is amazing! They're beyond accommodating. I know you go to a place for the service they provide, but honestly the energy of the people there make a huge difference when it comes to your experience. So far, I'm really...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreClean, well-kept location with friendly staff. They have ample lockers downstairs with the studio or a couple right up their stairs by majority of the showers. There are 4 individual unisex showers - 1 downstairs and 3 upstairs, along with restrooms on both floors. Their upstairs is a bit cozy, but I like that their showers up there are more tucked away, so there's not as much foot traffic getting in/out the shower rooms. One con was that my stats screen wasn't working on the bike l booked (Bike 12), so I swapped to a different one and seamlessly informed the front desk after class, so that I could receive my stats from my swapped bike. I also wish CycleBar had wipes for the bikes bc there were a couple of bikes with shoes left on them, meaning the studio wasn't...
