Famous Footwear — Local services in New York

First I would like to say that this location has a nice selection of shoes. My shoes size can be very hard to find and I was very happy to find so many shoes that I liked in my size. I give the store 5 stars in that area but on the other hand the customer service on the woman’s floor was disappointing. The associate named Neefali rolled his eyes at me when I arrived on the floor. He didn’t say hi to me and he did not offer any help when I arrived. I was on the floor for about 15 minutes when he painfully asked if I needed any help. I noticed that he said hi cheerfully to other non African/ black customers. He laughed and talked with them. Complimenting them and offering the most friendly help but I didn’t get any of that service. I even asked for a shoe that came in 2 colors, the color I wanted was out of stock but he didn’t even offer to show me the other one in the other color that was in my size. When I told him thank you, he walked away without a your welcome..just totally dismissed me. He was lovely to all white and Latin people but looked at every black customer in either disgust or dismiss. I really like this store but he made me feel so unwelcomed. It hurt me to even ask him for help because his lack of care towards me was a turn off. Please, famous footwear look into this because black people want to feel like they are valued customers and they want to feel comfortable spending money at your...

First time at this store and wanted to just look at the selection of shoes. The sales associate who initially helped me was nice. There was a mentally unstable woman in the store who berated anyone who was 6ft away from her including me when I just wanted to look at a sneaker near her. She was shouting at me accusing me of following her so I was snarky back. The store associates did nothing to kick her out but instead, they watched my every move, followed me around instead and kept coming up to me to ask if I needed help when I was just literally looking at different shoes to shop for my upcoming trip abroad.

I saw some reviews about racial profiling and it made me wonder if they were doing that to me while this other mentally unwell woman was left alone to browse in peace. In terms of the shoes, most of their selections are not up to date. I’d pass on this store and go shop elsewhere instead. Not worth going in there with this type...

I walked in the cashier helped me right away. She gave me a clear understanding that if I could not find what I needed for exchange that she could order it and have me pick up later. I went upstairs my daughter's foot its hard to find really good fits. They had a ton of choices and the customer service rep upstairs was genuinely helpful. I needed to keep asking for support she was great the whole time. Kudos to Famous footwear for excellent service. Also a helpful tidbit must have box to return shoes for full refund or they will only give store credit that is their policy so I wanted to share that with the public so...
