Love this little baby pink and black gem - refreshing change from the super slick Salon’s which seem to be taking over Manhattan. I starting going to this salon when my hair stylist and colorist Janaan, returned to NY after a stint in LA. Janaan is the best stylist and colorist - went to her for years and was disappointed when she relocated to LA, but was relieved upon her return to NYC. During her absence I had let my hair go gray as I couldn’t find a colorist to get it right and I decided to see how the gray looked and add low lights to my hair to give the gray more depth but gave up after several colorists gave me low lights which kept going red. When Janaan returned to NY and began working @ HQ, she was able to correct the low lights to the darker cool tones - my hair looks amazing with natural darker strands mixed w a silvery gray. Love it!! Get compliments all the time....

Janaan’s been cutting my hair for over a decade- there’s truly no one who can cut my hair like her!! Even if I wait way too long between haircuts, it continues to look great and I always get tons of compliments. She was away on the west coast for a few years, and I would wait for her to visit to get my haircut. Now that she’s back, I’m so happy I can get a refresher whenever I want. She’s simply the best. Plus, the salon is adorable and in such a fun neighborhood, too. Alicia, the owner, is super sweet and they always have delicious treats and fab products. I...

Stopped in to ask a quick question about price and the stylist's experience with my type of hair. Was left sitting there for 30 minutes without any attention while the stylist, the assistant and a client chatted. Seems like a nice place - but ignoring a simple question for such a long time is not reasonable. A better solution would have been "come back in an hour when she's done with this client" or "can I ask her to give you a call" or something other than 'sit and wait...
