The 1/4 pound chocolate chip cookie is amazing. The sea salt, the gooeyness, the chocolatey-ness! So good. After talking with the staff I was worried the cookie would be too thin and crispy but it was perfect. It wasn’t thick like some other chocolate chip cookies but the texture was nice with a sink your teeth in feel even with the flatness. 10 out of 10. My friend got the smaller one and enjoyed it and also a ginger bread cookie that was the star of the show for her. The employee gave us lots of suggestions and talked to us about the different items. The place was small but cute and the smell as you walk in the door was delicious. If they could bottle that scent or make a candle, I’d buy them all. There were 4 small chairs and my friend and I sat at the window and ate our treats while chatting and looking out the window. It was cozy with some good tunes playing. We were comfortable even though the space doesn’t seem like too many people should be hanging around for too long. They have cute little decor pieces and some board games that we thought about playing but we didn’t want to mess up the book stacks. I’ll be back for sure! I want a whole box of those quarter pound cookies. Also the prices were great! I expected the treats to cost more but everything was...
Read moreThis place is the absolute best place for an amazing chocolate chip cookie. As someone who’s tried MANY, this one is my favorite. It’s a perfect thin, gooey, sweet and salty cookie. The owner Tiara is a sweetheart and is always working hard to deliver the best sweet treats. Everything there is absolutely amazing.
It’s a SMALL business, if you’re coming to support you should expect the place to be small. You shouldn’t be mad that it’s not a massive space when you know you’re coming into a LOCAL, SMALL business. Every time I’ve come in, I’ve been greeted and welcomed in a very friendly manner even if it is busy. But when it does get busy, have some decency and expect that they may not get the chance to greet you. Not getting a “hello” won’t kill you and shouldn’t ruin your experience. If it does then that says a lot about YOU and not them. Also you shouldn’t be taking hours to decide what you want as they don’t have hundreds of options, and if it does, again have some decency and step to the side so others who know what they want can go ahead.
I always recommend this place to people and will always consider it a local gem. I need to...
Read moreHeard about this place on social media. Wanted to see for myself whether it was as great as people said. First, the place is very small and it was super-crowded when I arrived. They're not very friendly. You aren't greeted when you walk in and no effort is made to engage with customers at all. They asked people to leave the line momentarily because they did not have menus and "take a look in the pastry case" to see if they actually had what they wanted to order; that was mind-boggling. Print out a sufficient number of menus maybe or have a QR code so that people can decide what they want to order that way rather than ask people to "leave the line" and "go back into their original spot." That doesn't work. It's also irritating. Also, when it's extremely busy they need to limit the number of people allowed ino that shoebox. There are far too many places in that part of town to get extraordinary pastries from; I wanted to love it. Certainly want to support a business that is black-owned, but this place left a very bitter taste...
