My name is Julie Ann. I am an acute care nurse practitioner and in the aesthetic industry. I have been in the medical field for over 15 years and been in aesthetics for over 6 years! I have an extensive history in TBI victims and stroke patients. I also have been a clinical and adjunct professor at a community college as well as currently teach at Shenandoah University. I have so much pride being an educator to others and meeting Dr Emer proved that he is not only an amazing doctor and surgeon but educator as well! I had the insane pleasure of not only shadowing Dr Emer but also being his patient!!!! And I am hooked!!! From start to finish from the consultation process to the treatment session I have nothing but stellar things to say! Jonathan the esthetician was so incredibly kind and knowledgeable with skin care and always reachable via text or phone! Jose was just a sweetie! So calm and soothing on the phone and took care of all questions I had asap! Jordan and I talked to right before my trip to NYC. He is not only an insane medical assistant but a wonderful Emer university contact! He made sure my visit was going to be as smooth as possible and that my shadowing experience would be epic! I had a Co2 laser as well as the Halo. Dr Emer is not only ethical with how he practices, but he truly is passionate about skincare regimen and his laser treatments. I saw firsthand how ethical and professional he was with all his patients! I had no hesitation that my treatment would be insane and it was! I was so anxious about the CO2 and Dr Emer was so calming! He not once acted like I was one of those annoying anxious clients but treated me like his family! PJ even held my hand during the procedure! And I was so comfortable that I was able to sing during the whole procedure and Dr Emer sang too! One aspect I took away to be able to incorporate into my practice is his protocols are phenomenal with skin care! I cannot say enough about the importance of skin care regimen pre-and post laser treatment. Y'all there is a 100% reason you need to invest in your skin and listen to what Dr Emer says! You are selling yourself short if you don't! As a girl who has struggled with acne scars and pores and had numerous dermatologists recommendations etc Dr Emer is the ONLY one that emphasized the vital importance of SKIN care! And guess what his SKIN care works! I love the enzyme polish and the antioxidant serum and the amazing face masks with hylauronic acid!!!also the cosmelan peel is insane 10/10 recommend to everyone of my patients now! I also loved the fact that Dr Emer makes it a point to always discuss the importance of downtime as well as the timeframe for healing and appropriate recovery. I literally felt at home as soon as I walked into the practice. I was greeted by Jose, Jordan and PJ with smiles! I just love them so much! Also Dr Emer gave me a hug right away!
