If I could rate 0 I would, however it’s quite fitting that 1 star is the minimum considering there was only one person in the building who seemed to want to be there.
One of the receptionists had told me that I had a balance due, I asked in sincerity if I had to pay in full today, or if I can pay a portion. The receptionist answered me saying that “You can do a payment”.
“You can do a payment” is not a yes or no answer to a yes or no question. So, because I was not told yes, I assumed in the other direction since why on earth would I assume I have to pay everything when the receptionist just told me that I can do a payment and refused to elaborate further?
When walking out after dropping off samples, she called me back to the counter where there was ANOTHER patient seemingly having problems with this receptionists attitude as well. I walk back to the counter, she then tells me I have to pay in full despite not answering yes to my yes or no question earlier about my balance.
After expressing my annoyance with her flatly lying to my face, or at the very least leaving out key details, I asked if she could put the full balance on the kiosk so I can finally leave this place. She then continues to explain that I have to pay in full even though I have already agreed to do it! Not because I wanted to, but so I can finally get away from this extremely frustrating person that is now seemingly stalling me on purpose by saying the same thing over and over so she doesn’t have to put the balance on the kiosk. I repeated myself about 5 times saying “I understand the figure you want me to pay, so please put it on the kiosk so I can pay the balance and finally leave”.
The other lady who was working there witnessed this incident, as well as the previously mentioned patient who I can only assume continued to have problems with this receptionist just like I did.
To the other lady there this morning, I wish to extend my thanks for your diligence and time. It’s much appreciated when it feels like someone who actually likes their job is talking to you. The other lady?...
Read moreBEWARE - broken scale cancels appt!!! I rarely review, but I just had to report that the process here is extremely disappointing. I had a previously scheduled appointment, had to walk almost an hour crosstown only to be told that my appointment could not be conducted because of a broken scale. I read one previous review that mentioned this and I called ahead, but never received a phone call back. I was told at the front desk that they do not get messages. I find this completely unacceptable especially since I had an appointment already scheduled and called before as well. The time and effort wasted negates any benefit for trying to do the wellness test in the first place. Recommendation to other patients - go elsewhere! Feedback to LabCorp - get a scale, get a phone that people can call, and start thinking about customer service.
NOTE: the front desk also tried calling her supervisor repeatedly, and she never answered. And please call your other patients with appointments!!
UPDATE: As expected I received a cut-and-paste response from LabCorp on this review. It is the same exact response for all the negative reviews here saying they will look into it (most likely an automated bot or someone just pressing a button). I will believe it when I read a personalized response that something was actually done - like fixing their scale and calling their patients! Still unacceptable and...
Read moreWonderful experience. Came here for a diabetes (blood sugar) test for my mother. Very easy check in at the kiosk (just scan your govt issued ID, if you are in the Mount Sinai system, all of your data will already be there, you just need to verify the information on a couple of screens. You can ask for help if you do not know how to use a touchscreen (there was an elderly man after us who was not used to touchscreens). It was a very short wait time. We came 6 minutes before the appointment, the estimated wait time after checking in was 6 minutes, and we were taken in for the test in about 4 minutes after check in. The office was clean and the staff was professional -- the front desk receptionist was brisk but polite, and processed multiple patients efficiently (3 new patients came in while we waited). The blood work by Juan was amazing: it was done with a light touch and painlessly, the easiest blood test my mother ever had to do. He has a wonderful friendly and patient bedside manner, great if you are uncomfortable with blood work and/or needles. After that we were done (we signed the copay agreement form at the receptionist's desk just after checking in). We will definitely return to...
