LensCrafters at Macy's — Local services in New York

The most irritating experience I have ever had. I visited the store today to inquire about getting my broken glasses repaired. When I handed them over to the staff member, I simply asked how long the process would take. To my surprise, she responded in an extremely rude manner, saying, “If you are in a rush, come here next time. I don’t like to be rushed.” I then asked if I could leave my glasses at the store and pick them up in a few days. Again, her response was dismissive and unprofessional: “I don’t like that way too.” I understand if there are store policies or valid reasons why my request could not be accommodated, but a professional explanation should have been provided instead of a personal preference like “I don’t like it.” This kind of attitude is completely unacceptable in a customer service setting. But I would say other staff members were very friendly and professional. However, today’s visit was the complete opposite due to the unacceptable attitude of one particular female staff member. Not only was Sue knowledgeable and professional, but her friendly and approachable demeanor made the entire experience enjoyable. It was evident that she genuinely cared about my satisfaction and went above and beyond to make sure I was thrilled with my choice.

What an amazing team this store has. Al, and Sue are very kinda and informative. They really respects your time and opinions. I initially came in just look around but after browsing decided to take Al up on the deals that he pitched to me and my significant other.

Al was very patient with me and walked me through everything step by step as I was trying to get this processed through my insurance carrier. I decided to go get my yearly exam as well through this lenscrafter store and got my contacts lense and frame/lens purchased. The doctor was also thorough with the exam.

If I could give this store higher than a 5 I would. Highly recommend!
