Madewell — Local services in New York

Very disorganized store and staff. I walked in and there were 5 employees none of them said hello. I walked to 2 of them to ask for help regarding the shoes that I wanted to try on. I was not sure if I could just grab the pair I like to try on or ask them. One of the lady told me: the shoes are in the back section of the store you can ho there", the shoes I wanted to try were in the front plus for a luxury store I should not look for my size my self. An other lady came and asked me which one I wanted to try and which size. My hands were full of staff and she gave me the box and said you can go try over there where you can seat. I went in the direction she said and the station was full of unpacked merchandise all over the sofa and the floor and boxes in front of the mirror so there was no place for me to seat down or put my staff down or look my self in the mirror. I tried the boots on anyway and the leather is not a good quality and the shape of the shoes is not well done at all. I was very disappointed with the shoes and the all in...

I had the best experience at this Madewell location that I had to share. From the second I walked in the team made shopping feel warm, welcoming, and genuinely fun.

A HUGE shout out to Taysia who went above and beyond to help me. She was super kind, attentive, and made me feel so comfortable asking questions and trying things on. It made all the difference in my experience shopping there.

The overall energy of the store is great. Everyone I interacted with was so friendly, helpful, and approachable. I had visited another Madewell location in the city later in the week and the contrast was night and day. This team truly shows what great a great customer experience should feel like.

Exceptionally well laid out and decorated store with a variety of denim and other fabric items for decent prices. On the surface the prices may seem high but I know from personal experience that made well makes really well tailored garments and they stand up to time pretty well. Oddly enough, as I was browsing the store I was told by Employee not to take pictures but other than that small hiccup everything in the store lead to an enjoyable experience. I also appreciated at this location had a men’s section which is an something that I’ve seen at any other location...
