Make-up and Hair by Kerry-Lou — Local services in New York

Kerry-Lou and her team are FANTASTIC and I was very lucky to have her provide the hair/makeup services for my wedding day. I found her on The Knot (I didn’t know of anyone who had been married in the NYC area for referrals). She sounded so sweet on the phone and from her great reviews I decided to take a chance and set up a trial.

I’m not the greatest with hair and make-up and did not know quite what I wanted but Kerry-Lou created an up do that made me look amazing! Kerry-Lou is fun to talk to, easy to get along with, and has a very calming presence—exactly the type of person you would want with you for several hours on your wedding day. After the first trial it was an easy decision to book her for my wedding day. I went back for a second trial to play around with the make-up and to test out the longevity of the hairdo (the second trial was equally as fun as the first and I was very happy with the minor changes we made).

On the morning of the wedding we had 6 people (in addition to myself) needing hair/makeup. Kerry-Lou came with a second hair stylist, a second make-up artist (her daughter) and an assistant. They were prompt, set up, and ready to go on time. The rest of her team was AMAZING and made my bridal party and my mother look absolutely stunning. Kerry-Lou wowed me again making me the most beautiful bride I could have possibly imagined. My entire party was so happy with their looks and the professionalism of the hair/make-up team. My make-up and hair lasted all day with no problems!

I can’t begin to express how happy I was to have Kerry-Lou with me on my wedding day. She made the entire process easy and stress free. I was very nervous about hair/make-up (before meeting Kerry-Lou) but she did an amazing job at bringing out my natural beauty. I would not hesitate to recommend Kerry-Lou and her team to another bride or anyone needing professional...

Let me begin by saying how much I loved having Kerry-Lou involved in our special day. Not only for her talent , and truly making me look my best, but also for her warm and caring nature. I felt assured, as I knew I was in expert hands, and also relaxed as we had such great chats as I was getting "beautified"!

I met Kerry-Lou at my trial a week earlier and knew straight away she was the best in the business, so kind and professional, and nothing was too much trouble. She knew exactly what look I was going for with my hair and make up, and is armed with a great range of products to bring anyone from drab to fab!

Kerry-Lou brought her lovely assistant Amy on the day to take care of my mothers hair and make up which was also fantastic.

We had a perfect day, and Kerry-Lou was an integral part of it. It wasn't a "service", it was an experience. My time with Kerry-Lou has brought fond memories that I will have forever. I cannot recommend Kerry-Lou highly enough, she is a gift for anyone who wishes to look and...

Kerry-Lou did my hair and makeup for my City Hally wedding this past June. She was recommended by our wedding photographer , Sascha Reinking, and when I reached out to her, she was kind and easy to work with. She showed up at 6 am happy, calm and ready to go. I can't tell you how much my Mom, Sister and I loved her. Her presence is calming and her work is stunning.

I have rather thin hair and when I asked her to use my clip-in extensions, she happily obliged and proceeded to turn me into the best possible version of myself. My hair came out even better than I could have imagined and my makeup was spot on - not too overdone, but certainly glamorous. Actually, while we took photos around Manhattan, passersby asked us whether we were models, as opposed to just two people getting married - she is that good!!

Kerry-Lou was worth every penny and I am so grateful to her for making me feel my best on my wedding day. I cannot recommend her enough.
