The short version: -Amazing manicure/pedicure -Clean facility -Incredible energy -You will NOT be rushed out, they take their time -If you have negative energy don’t come here -If you want to be in and out, no frills mani pedi, DON’T come here -They are open til midnight on Saturdays! I was thrilled to find a place after 8pm -The owner says she created the late night hours for working moms like us who couldn’t find time during the day and I felt so seen! -The owner also loves her staff and treats them so well, it shows. They love working there as well and that shows too The details: I read many reviews for this spa before coming here and one thing is clear, some people just like to complain and find problems within the safety net of the internet. Period. I had a lovely conversation with the owner after my services (mother to mother) and acknowledged her for how well she treats her staff. This salon is her baby. Her staff LOVE her and love their job. She creates a wonderful environment and they work hard for her because of it. I hung out with the owner’s 7 year old daughter (it’s summer time) and we had such a blast chatting! She is intelligent and mature and even offered to babysit my daughter. She was the highlight of my visit. They take their time and care about each nail and you WILL be here a while. I didn’t care because they have hours til midnight so I just got to relax instead of thinking they will close soon. I came at 7 and was out at 9. A very relaxing evening and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The salon is very clean and neat and even the bathroom and toilet are spotless. You can tell how much love and care went into tidying up. The prices are fair Manhattan prices. In Austin Texas, I pay the same. If you are visiting from somewhere that mani pedis are cheaper, please do not bash her prices before looking at nail salons in Midtown. They are twice her price. Do not compare to a podunk town and say it’s expensive. A pretzel here is $8 and rent is expensive. Do your homework before visiting NYC and complaining about her prices. Finally, if you have nothing nice to say, hold your tongue. This is someone’s business and livelihood. Didn’t like it? Not your cup of tea? Don’t come back. But don’t bash it. It’s a Russian nail salon with Russian style nail services. The owner shares this on every response on here. Yes it is different from the Asian nail places that rush you out and talk to each other during your service. They care. They take their time. They are detailed. Don’t like, not happy? Tell the owner and she can work with you. Don’t just go home and write a bad review. It’s immature. If you have nothing nice to say, say nothing and don’t return. That’s the grown up way to deal with things.

I paid $186 for these gel extensions including tip. The price when I booked was HALF the price and at the end the owner “surprised” me with that number, I asked her to explain it and she tried to shower me with compliments. I am not wealthy, this was a huge chunk of my paycheck, and just because I went in wearing my nice work clothes does not give you the right to rip someone off. Also, I went there two weeks ago for a gel set and one of the nails already popped off two weeks in- that’s why I went back. (Also, the thumb on the right hand of this set is crooked!) I got my nails done to help me feel confident visiting my dad who has leukemia. The lady who runs this place should be ashamed. EDIT: the owner has responded as you can see below. My extensions were the same length as the ones I purchased the first time, which she told me were short. At no point during the appointment did she tell me I was going to be upcharged or charged differently than what I booked. On their website it says the soak off is included, which she clearly admitted to charging me for below. I will be reporting this business. Also, nowhere in my review did I mention my cuticles. And yes, the owner is correct for noting I have eczema. I am in no way blaming this business for me having eczema. The fact that the service took so long is because my nail technician was taking her time, she's clearly new at her job, which I don't fault her for. But as a client I should not be penalized for how slow the tech is. The owner also didn't ask me if I wanted to have the nails filled in, as she mentioned below-- I asked the tech for that, then the owner told me that I had to get a new set. Because I was naive, I believed her.

I am literally in tears when I’m writing this review. I just got out of this place. I needed a removal of my old gelx builder gel manicure, and I found this place open late enough for me to pop in tonight. Turned out to be the worst decision ever. On the appointment it says “filing and soak off”, there’s NO soak off, only filing with a high-speed drill. If you advertise as soak off, do as you advertised! The lady who did my removal filed my nails so hard, she removed 90% of my nail bed and my nails are now paper thin and brittle. The drill work was so careless and sloppy, there were at times it genuinely hurt my fingers and I expressed discomfort told her to be more careful, all she said was “it’s ok, you are ok”. Lady it’s my fingers and I should be the one who tells you if I’m ok!!! After months of gelx builder gel, my nails have been very strong, thick and healthy - everything is out of the window now. As shown in the picture, there are nails breaking due to being paper thin, drill holes, and sloppy drill marks across the whole nail bed. I cannot believe this is what I paid $30 for to get my manicure “professionally removed”. Afterwards when I told the manager this is not at all what manicure removal is supposed to be, she keeps telling me this is how it’s done and the nail underneath the polish is “dead” that’s why they are breaking. I have been doing my nails professionally for 15 years and have NEVER, EVER had my nails drilled down to paper thin to the point it’s hurting the nerves underneath during a removal process.

Do not come here, there is very, VERY sketchy vibes.

The other day I had an appointment booked around 3pm for a pedicure. I was trying to access the building and the code to enter was not working, and the phone number wasn't reachable on the front door security system. As I was trying to get in a random woman came off the street asking if I was trying to get in the nail salon, I said yes and she started helping me out. Naturally I thought she either worked there or had an appointment as it seems like you would only know about this salon from online. We were able to get in after trying to contact the front desk multiple times. When we got in the building I asked the woman if she had an appointment as well and she just told me she saw the salon and was walking in. It seemed a little weird to me but I brushed it off.

Approximately 30 seconds or so after calling the front desk we got upstairs and no one was around. No workers, no customers, nothing. Nobody was at the front desk either. When I was looking around it was very dimly lit, the area that you were to get your nails done wasn't lit at all, and the hallway corner was very dark. The woman that came with me sat down and was looking at me very strangely. I got a really bad feeling about it and immediately headed back into the elevator. The second I got into the elevator a worker came out of nowhere and started asking where I was going and if I had an appointment. I just left right after that. I got such a bad feeling.

And, as soon as I got home I checked the reviews and 10 or so new reviews had been posted at the same time, all 5 stars, all with people who only placed one review being for this salon. I would just be very cautious about coming here because it seems very sketchy and suspicious, especially as a young woman alone.

(As a response to the owner, thanks, I’m sure your comebacks make your customers comfortable. And all your fake 5 star reviews won’t be able to hide the real bad reviews. This place tried its best to be as unwelcoming as...
